Westminster's answer to Britain's Got Talent 2:19pm on 01 Jun 2009 Dear Mr Brown,

When will recognise that we, the people, do not care about what you want and think.

Tha majority of us want you gone. I know that you may find that to be unbelievable, but it is the case! Your arrogance is astounding and that is your flaw.

Just call a general election, give the people you are supposed to serve the chance to decide which MPS stay and which ones go. You may be lucky and keep your seat unlike many of your cabinet colleagues.

'A bit of a week' 1:39pm on 30 Apr 2009 This is a dying government, being led by a wounded leader. Gordon Brown hust isn't up to the job and it's time someone in his party told him so.
I hope that Labour backbenchers rebel again today. I hope that they don't support the half baked proposals of their leader. Sir Christopher Kelly is the one charged with making recommendations on MPs' expenses and it would be wrong to preempt his report. Lets hope that democracy prevails again today. The sooner that the general election is called the better.
Why tax the rich? 12:50pm on 24 Apr 2009 Clearly New Labour is dead. this is the return to the bad old days.

Who do the government think creates wealth? We need business men and women to be willing to take personal risk in order to grow the econonmy. This is different from investment banking type risk. It is not just investment bankers who earn 6 figure sums. The amount these taxes will raise is a drop in the ocean (of red ink)compared with the amounts that will have to be paid off by the government.

This is a populist proposal that aims to act as a smokescreen to the real issues. I heard that we will all be paying extra NI from next year. That is a tax on the many. Don't be fooled and don't get embroiled in the Labour politics of envy. Gordon, Alistair Harriet et al have now been exposed for what they really are.

there are no excuses! new Labour is just phoney. I know David Cameron can't say this but I can! Gordon Brown needs to get his house in order, not travelling the world. It looks as if it is true that a leader in despair struts their stuff on the international stage when things get bad at home.

How dare New Labour come across as so holier than thou regarding bankers' bonuses. This is worse. We should be looking up to our leaders, not reading sleazy stories about them in the papers.

Jacqui Smith should have the deceny to step down. She will be gone by next June anyway, along with a number of her colleagues. She can protest her innocence as much as she likes but as he good friend Harriet Harperson said 'it is the court of public opinion that counts'.
Should the Bank of England buy shares? 5:16pm on 12 Mar 2009 I absolutely agree that this would be a better way to stabilise asset prices, help decrease the indebtedness of companies and get the flow of money turned back on.

It's time to think outside the box. the BoE are halfway there but they need to take things a step further and to be a bit more imaginative.

The Tories seem to be of this thinking - who says that they don't have any ideas?! More than Gordon Brown and his sidekick chancellor!
A brief escape 12:06pm on 18 Feb 2009 I have noticed that the BBC seem to be under-reporting news of the Conservative party. Today, I specifically refer to the point that there is no mention of the latest poll giving the Conservatives a 20 point lead.

Part of the economic solution is to get rid of Gordon Dithering Brown and his sidekick Chancellor and to get the Conservatives into power to get things sorted. It seems to be a general trend that Labour mess up and the Conservatives tidy things up after them, although probably more difficult this time.

i am disappointed to see that there is no report on the BBC about the lates Mori poll that gives the Conservatives a 20 point lead. Come on lets be fair! Other news sources have reported it. What is the BBC's problem?

I think we should all be on the streets protesting. I am a capitalist but what we are experiencing is false capitalism.
Bash-A-Banker 11:53am on 09 Feb 2009 The simple answer is no bonuses. NO. It's a short word that can't be misunderstood.

The Great Leader and his sidekick chancellor ahve been asleep at the wheel regarding this issue (and many others).

I want to know how the Great Leader can claim to be leading the world (first he saved it, now he is leading it?!) in sweeping away the old short term bonus culture of the past and replacing it with a determination that there are no rewards for failure and rewards only for long-term success. I thought Obama made his announcment on this last week? Odd...

Also, how does the great Leader expect to make these changes when he has a banking insider doing the review?

I am normally poles apart politically from John Prescott but I will support his online campaign. The government and the banks are taking us all for fools and it has to stop!

I hope the Great Leader and his spin doctors are aware of the anger that is building in the country. It might jsut blow up in their faces.
Fixing banks' boards 11:33pm on 08 Feb 2009 What is the point?

It is clear that the system needs a radical overhaul. Once again, The great leader is trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

Who is he kidding? Does he think the public will be satisfied with a little bit of tinkering around the ages. We should send him the answer - a resounding NO!

I take it this chap is getting paid a lot of taxpayers pounds to carry out his investigation. Why should we pay him if he is not acting in our interests. Any fool could tinker with the current model. What we need here is a new way of thinking - outside the (banking) box.

Come on Great Leader. Show us that you are capable of taking radical action. Enough of the piece meal - that won't get us anywhere. What we want is a new way forward.
