Goodnight Beijing 11:01am on 24 Aug 2008 I agree with hizento in post 8. I suspect that what we have seen in these Games is only the very beginning of what China as a nation will be able to achieve in future.

I suspect they're going to dominate future Olympics in a way that will somewhat lessen everyone else's enthusiasm for them. Which will be a shame.

It has been a fantastic Olympics though, and all credit to China for them. No one else could have put on such a spectacle, and I'm sure the closing ceremony will equally live up to the high standards they have set throughout.
Three gold medals - and I'm shattered 10:59am on 20 Aug 2008 I hope BBC Sport pass on all these wonderful messages of congratulations to Chris Hoy.

He ought to see just how much his glorious gold medal triumphs have inspired all those who have been glued to the TV cheering him (and the rest of the British cyclists!) on.

What an achievement. The nation is extremely proud of you, Chris.
Brownspeak made simple 6:26pm on 07 May 2008 I don't understand. If Brown and Wee Wendy disagreed on something, why would that automatically mean she would have to resign?

Do we or do we not live in a devolved country?
