Dad's birthday present - DONE.

2 tickets on his birthday to see Rob Brydon in Oxford. Not only has he wanted to see him for a long time but couldn't get tickets, I got 2 of the beauties for £30 the pair.

Face value - £35 each!!

Muse tickets just purchased at bargain price on eb@y. Placebo ticks currently being watched. Just a pity buzzcocks tix did not come to fruition, but never mind. Will need to find something else for dad's birthday pressie. I've been told 'NOT SLIPPERS', so any ideas?

having a nice, easy day today to celebrate my long awaited promotion which finally came through yesterday. An extra 3.5K a year can't be bad and a review in 6 months. Yay, go me!

Apparently need a relaxing day though as I have just attemped to get the milk for my tea from the bathroom rather than from the fridge.

Will keep you informed of any other bizarre behaviour throughout the day.

Went to my buddies last night to celebrate her 40th with yet another chinese meal. 5 in a row now, so hoping for a bit of a change tonight. On a late shift followed by early so will probably be poached eggs or something similar.

It has just occured to me that I have not been to Alton Towers this year. 12 months without a roller coaster ride. Am now suffering withdrawal symptoms...

Depending on shifts, my alarm generally goes off at 4 - 4.30. Up in pitch black, and lights on very low due to mezzanine bedroom. Normally stand on a cat at around 4.45, stub toe on ladder at 4.50 and spill tea on freshly pressed uniform at 5.10.

Shower, tea, more tea, make lunch, feed animals, and in the car with Foo's or Placebo by 5.25. Oh, only after the car alarm going off and waking the family.

According to my shampoo, an apple is the best wake up medicine.

Don't know why my shampoo says that, but it does.

Aww, bless Emo. And, yes it is cruel, and to make it worse, with their short term memory it is recurring cruelty every two seconds!

Have fun with the tank upgrade, but don't be put off if you go into one of my stores and they baffle you with set up times, filtration and beneficial bacteria. It is all necessary, and worth while - honest.

ps - the coffin type ornaments will require an air pump too. And we don't do them anymore. Have got some fab catci though that will create a rather splendid desert effect!
