Sugababes - 'Get Sexy' 00:37am on 25 Aug 2009 I caught you Fraser...2 Ting Tings references in 2 reviews! That song has just started playing on the radio in the States, and now I realize why you like it so much. It's so catchy!

And Spirit, I think I already know what you're going to say about the chart show in relation to this blog. And I have to agree. But we'll have that say tomorrow.

Good review, by the way (to get this sort of back on topic!). 2-3 stars is about right.
Enter Shikari - 'No Sleep Tonight' 11:45pm on 13 Aug 2009 I think I would like this song a lot better if there was less shouting. A lot less shouting. I'm having a hard time looking (or listening, rather) past that.
And there is nothing wrong with a Westlife-esque key change at the end...I started listening to them again after an absence and just remembered how much I like them, so no hating!
This might be a grower, but I don't know yet.

Although three stars is more than generous as I do agree that it's not the greatest thing ever written or sung.
I think even cola is too much...how about water that someone blew bubbles into?! ;)
3Oh!3 - 'Don't Trust Me' 10:32pm on 24 Jul 2009 Having heard this song for a while on the radio...I have to comment. I really like the music to this song. I do, a lot. It's catchy and fun...the perfect summer song. The problem is the lyrics which are trying to funny and failing miserably. I mean, they pick on Helen Keller? Really? She is thought to be a very intelligent woman, but the only thing these guys pick up on is the fact that she was mute.

So I think if someone could take this song and change all the words, then I would give this song 5 out of 5 stars. Until then, I think 3 stars is more than generous (and I would have given it 2, maybe 1.5).

*OK, I'm done with my rant now. :)
Pitbull - 'I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)' 9:53pm on 24 Jul 2009 Sort of sticking with Fraser's review, are there any other words in the chorus besides "I know you want me, you know I want cha" and 1, 2, 3, 4 in two different languages? In all honesty, I don't understand this song, but I don't turn it off when it's on the radio either.
And Fraser, I took Spanish for 4 years, and I'm not sure whether he's speaking Spanish or Portuguese. My guess is Spanish. Either way a sort of silly and decent song.
Never Mind The Quality...Feel The Width 9:44pm on 02 Jul 2009 Now that I've taken some time to get used to the feel, I kind of like it. The only thing that bothers me is the jump when I click to read the rest of the post...I don't read the first part, I always just go through and click open into new tabs, so then I have to scroll up every time. My poor finger might get confused...it thinks it needs to go down when really I'll have to scroll up!
But now Chartblog has that new blog smell. ;) (and looks a little bit more like some of the other BBC blogs...intentional?)
Black Eyed Peas - 'Boom Boom Pow' 10:37pm on 17 May 2009 I like this song, but I would like it so much better if it was a bit shorter...it gets very repetitive near the end of the song.

Good summer music though, because this is one you turn up and sing even if you don't know the words (or the rest of the words besides boom, boom, pow!)
When Harrassed Met Harry... 01:00am on 16 May 2009 Hazel, you did an amazing job...I think if I ever met them (unlikely, unfortunately), I would forget how to speak and stare at their hotness. And I am not usually one for doing that sort of thing.

I also went and read the long version, which I really really enjoyed! I have always had the problem of explaining McFly to people, just because they are sort of pop rock and here in the US people don't know them (and if you explain the movie, then you get a rant about Lindsay Lohan!). Listening to people tell me that they are 'music snobs' and they don't have to listen to pop is annoying because you know there are pop songs they like. I am tired of defending my love of McFly and will now tell people to get a life when they make fun of me for it!

And I'm totally with you for favorite member...I think Harry's hottest too!

Dieter Schöön: As much as if I were a music reviewer I'd be scared of this guy, too, I have to say he's cool just because he has two umlauts in his name. TWO!!! That's so awesome!
