Changing headlines 09:58am on 23 Nov 2009 It looks like this change has caused the news radar to break. As of posting it's latest headline is from 4 days ago.

We're closing the 5 live messageboards 09:17am on 06 Oct 2009 @I_am_I: Unfortunately such a disclaimer would not exempt the BBC from legal action if anything liable/defamatory was posted. There were a number of articles written on this subject a while ago I think on the BBC Internet Blog (though can't find the URL).

I suspect the reason for closure may be partly cost related as http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcinternet/2009/07/blogs_and_boards_getting_the_b.html indicates that 90% of moderation spend is on boards, compared to 6% on blogs.
We've launched! 09:23am on 08 Sep 2009 It would be nice if the radio websites would have some continuity as to where they place the 'On Radio x Now' banner. On the relaunched Radio 2 & 4 websites it's at the top just below the BBC master header, whereas on other sites it's below the station's navigation or in its header. If it was placed at the top on the 5Live website it might allow it to be less tall and not affect the layout too much.
h2g2: an update 1:15pm on 26 Aug 2009 I think some of H2G2's problems could be sorted by the following...
- Replace the header & footer for the new/current template version.
- Integrate the search H2G2 facility into the main BBC search. This would help make the site more accessible to wider visitors of bbc.co.uk.
- Upgrade the membership/login system to use the new version currently on the iplayer boards (where the login & register links are in the header). If H2G2 is being updated this may as well be done at the same time.
...with these sorted I think it would improve the site without resorting to anything too radical/drastic which could alienate long term contributors.
MOTs: Putting h2g2 through its paces 6:32pm on 07 Aug 2009 I can't help feeling this article is pre-empting that h2g2 will fail it's MOT, though maybe I'm being a bit cynical. H2G2 strikes me as having been forgotten about my most of BBC Online, and in need of repair. For instance bbc.co.uk/topics was set up (though appears to have since gone), which surely overlapped at least a bit with H2G2's content. In addition I can't say I've really noticed revamped BBC Online sections making much use of H2G2 content, though that may be due to the infrastructure behind it.

Personally I think it may help if they PoV boards were converted to use the new message board system/layout featured, as since the forum closures the main page looks a bit of a mess.
Visualising material world: studio set-up 8:25pm on 07 Jul 2009 With the BBC having talked about there going to be more repeats (particularly on BBC3 & BBC4) this may offer a possible solution. I dare say certain radio programmes may be suitable for transmission on channels such as BBC4. Though even if televised it's important the programme remains essentially a radio programme in it's presentation.
Changes to international pages (4) 7:46pm on 03 Jul 2009 #4: "Simple question - why can't we have an international (i.e. with ads etc.) version of the UK front page. That's what I want, and thousands of others, too."
