UK's unravelling relationship with Libya 5:28pm on 07 Sep 2009 This article should be rewritten as 'Brown's unravelling relationship with his newlabour party and the British electorate'.

never has one man stumbled so aimslessly from one problem to the next, constantly trying to paly politics and constantly misjudging it 100 perecent.

Libya has played him for a fool and that is exactly what he is. He has done more damage in three weeks to the UK standing in the US, Libya and the rest of the world than any cold war postruing could have done. Libya must be laughing all the way at the way forty years of aggression achieved less against the UK than three weeks of playing Gordon Brown like an idiot.

UK's unravelling relationship with Libya 1:57pm on 07 Sep 2009 If you listen to the transcript of this interview it sounds like Ed Balls is trying desperately to smear the tories for their position on this rather than say anything useful about what the governemnt or Gordo Brown actually believe.

What is it about newlabour MPs that makes them roputinely troty out the line 'the tories are playing politics with this issue'.

Wake up Ed Balls; this is politics and you are supposed to be a politician - evidently not a very good one.

Can't wait to see what kind of message they intend to give to their adoring public.

We don't supprt troy cuts we do believe inlabour cuts; we do support the release of terrorists but we didn't want to release this one; we do believe in the banking sector but we don't think they should be paid anything; and so on.

This is a party sinking faster into its own contradictions than a fast sinking thing.

PM prepares for the Afghanistan argument 10:10am on 04 Sep 2009 Are we now to expect the usual leaked investigation into the expenses of Eric Joyce?

Given this government's predilection for innuendo with an intent to smear it seems almost inevitable that just like Sir Richard Dannnant before him we will now see an investigation inot the expenses of Eric Joyce.

Let's hope he shops at Aldi, takes the bus everywhere and cooks his own private dinners just like Sir Richard, so that this inept and incompetent government ends up with egg all over its face once agian.

As for your point about winning the argument, Nick.... can you be serious? When did newlabour ever attempt to win the argument; the past twelve years has been about them telling us we were wrong and they were right and we were idots if we belived any different.
What the PM did and did not say 11:41am on 03 Sep 2009 So when was the last time a ruling prime minister attended his own party conference with the threat of a US congressional enquiry into his actions hanging over him?

This is the low to which we have sunk; US democratic senator Frank Lautenberg is calling for a congressional enquiry into the actions of the UK in releasing Megrahi..the New York Times os calling Gordon Brown a 'sell out prime minister' and saying he has 'broken faith and ties with the US'...

IS this really the man we want to be running the country?

THis is a disgraceful episode in British foreign policy and this issue will not go away and I believe it will take Gordon Brown down with it. He always was in deep water once out of his comfort zone of handing out cash to his interest groups but this is the final straw for the Americans.

After spending eighteen months blaming the US for causing the global recession is it any wonder the US have turned on him and will hang him out to dry?

This episode will become a metaphor for his towering incompetence and hubris.

Look at the transcript of the video and watch Yvette Cooper to his left. Eben she is frozen still at the man's incompetence when she has historically played the role of nodding dog next to him.

No British prime minister can survive having to stand up and interupt a conference about jobs and issue a speech littered with half truths about a terrorist issue that has sinlge handedly destroyed his relationship with the president of the United States.

This is a disgraceful period in British history characterised by shameless buck passing and double dealing.

Only a man without a shred of integrity and with a towering arrogance could deliver suich a speech and hope to get away with it.

This is Gordon Brown's final hour whether he leaves now or later.

What the PM did and did not say 2:31pm on 02 Sep 2009 Gordon Brown has his place in history all right.

Gordon Brown will be remembered for his ten year tenure at the chancellor of the exchequer where he repeatedly raised taxes; wasted money; showered interest groups with cash; ruined the pension system; spoiled the NHS rotten without reform; bullied his neighbour at number ten; sold all our gold at the bottom; ruined the financial services industry with a fatally creaky regulatory framework; ignored the pleas of the former governor of the Bank of England with disasterous consequences; showered his talentless friends with peerages and promotions and finally scrambled his way into number ten with one of the most public acts of bullying in history.

His tenure in number ten will be widely reprted as the most disasterous in the past three hundred years; perpetuating a culture of innuendo and smear; rising to new heights of hubris; clutching desperately at his soundbite dividing lines; launching inumerable dog whistle initiatives; grabbing the headlines from Jade Goody to Susan Boyle but disappearing the moment any issue if substance hit his in-box.

Yet Nick has the temerity to begin an article with this headline about what Gordon Brown did or did not say - the public have grown weary of everything he does or doesn't have an opinion on and are just desperate to be rid of this self serving, self righteous, posturing buffoon of a man.

Relevant letters to be released 4:13pm on 01 Sep 2009 This is the story that just would not go away.

Typical Gordon Brown to do a disappearing act on an issue of national security.

Never mind the hundreds murdered by this terrorist, never mind the war against terror, never mind the poor people of Lockerbie whose town was left with a small crater in it where a bungalow had once stood. Never mind the relatives who like 9/11 were left with no remains of the loved ones.

This prime minister was never much good from the outset but now any attempt to act statesmanlike has to be treated with nothing other than contempt.

This last twelve years has been the story of towering incompetence; finacially and politically. Education standards have been lowered; billions have been wasted on reviews and benefits; targets have been met but no improvements made to public services and a monstrous debt burden has been bequeathed to our children.

Governments have resigned for one of these blunders in the past but this administration blusters on the about the right thing to do and savage tory cuts when the entire country has watched unparalled newlabour waste and incompetence and is heartily sick of it.

Never has there been such a malicious, profligate and self righteous administration in the history of the UK.

Resign and call an election.
What was HBOS doing? 2:28pm on 05 Aug 2009 If Eric Daniels has lost his job at the top of this company for engineering this disasterous merger why has Gordon Brown who pushed him into the deal kept his job?

This is the most glaring omission from all the reporting about this toxic bank and its toxic merger; the man right at the top whose idea it was in the first place.

This is also the reason, one can only presume, why Gordon Brown has disappeared to his holiday bunker; to avoid the intense scrutiny that comes with failure on this scale.

THis is a disgrace - if not atypical.
A final thought before a summer break 10:49am on 31 Jul 2009 Peter Mandleson 'setting out the stratgey for newlabour's autumn fight'???

This is Peter Mandleson rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.

This is how barmy the newlabour 'strategy' has become; they know the ship is sinking, they know they have hit a monumental iceberg but they simply cling onto the captain who ignored all the warning signs and steered them into this mess.

Not only that but frequently they shower the captian with praise for his efforst in helping to slow the progress of the sinking ship into the icy waters; Captain Gordon is the right man for the job; Cpatian Gorodn is the only one with the skills required to take this ship down below the water safeley; Captain Gordon steered the ship at full speed into the iceberg, he's the right man to take us down.

All this while newlabour legislation is failing all around us; education is a disgrace; the NHS still doesn't have enough money and still hasn't had a single sensible reform; crime continues to rise; public and private sector debt are at record highs; the pound has collapsed; immigration is out of control; we have been refused a referendum on the EU constitution; troops are sent to fight illegal wars without equipment.. all this and newlabour still think people are going to vote for them? To carry on in this reckless and profligate way ruining the country's finances and wrecking living standards.

It beggars belief that a single newlabour MP wants to stand and defend this shambolic reputation at te nex election. A reputation for arrogance and incompetence.

Is it any wonder that at the most recent elections they can barely muster double digit support.

They blame it all on Gordon Brown's inability to connect with the public; I disagree one hundred percent. He has connected completely with the public and they have realised what an unmitigated shower of disingenuous and self regarding incompetents this governemnt are.

Thnak heavens we don't have long to wait before the call an election.
