Westminster expenses 4:30pm on 19 Jun 2009 Re. the Peter Robinson digital photo frame. The DUP say it was bought for his constituency office to display messages or photos.

I am always more comfortable and happy when someone addresses the issue at hand rather than engaging in personal abuse. If you want to escalate your complaint further use the "complain about this comment" button on the comment in question. According to my dictionary "redneck" has a number of definitions beyond the precise reference to farm workers in parts of the USA, but I shall be happy to be guided by the BBC moderators who may have encountered its use before in other contexts.

Hippo Bags and Rainwater Harvesting 12:46pm on 13 Jan 2009 Recently we published an apology to the DUP MLA Ian Paisley Jr. This was after the MLA brought to our attention inappropriate comments about him published on the blog in response to my entry "Bush Tucker Trial Declined." Those comments were removed and an apology published.
Some of you have been annoyed that your subsequent comments about this matter have not been published. Others have accused the BBC of censorship. Please remember that this blog is subject to the law of libel. That law applies not only to my original posts but also to any of your comments published via the blog. All users are also subject to the House Rules http://www.bbc.co.uk/messageboards/newguide/popup_house_rules.html, which provide the basis for moderation. The moderators try to ensure we don't run into legal or editorial problems, but in some cases, the BBC's lawyers have to give their opinion on our best course of action.
I value the discussion generated on the blog by you all. But we have to ensure that our discussion doesn't lead to legal problems

If you watched BBC Newsline 6.30 last night I think you might have noticed a clip of Monica McWilliams who was interviewed after the handover by our reporter Ciara Riddell. Radio Ulster's Evening Extra programmes also carried interviews with the Ulster Unionist Dermott Nesbitt and Monica McWilliams.
