those poor farmers are actually the most powerful group in China. If our government cannot sort out their problems wisely, our country will have big trouble.
the young gerneration obviously want more than our parents, however it is still small compare to yours, James, if you do more research.
It doesn't mean that I am going to argue for my country again like last year. since I came back from UK, I do find many problems here in Beijing. and I do appreciate lot of reports about China by BBC and other foreign media. China need to be reformed by ourselves and yours - our friends.
Keeping the faith 5:37pm on 23 Sep 2008 well, I have been the UK studying law for four years. it is extremely hard for me because my parents are farmers who don't have money. I know many chinese students here, most of them are rich because their parents are having business or are officials (they seems to be more welcomed in your country than me). now I am going back to China, I want to give a hand to those people who are as poor as me. I believe I will find a more practical way to improve our lives rather than blame our government only.

Liu Xiang out 4:37pm on 18 Aug 2008 he is our hero who gave us a big superise four years ago. then we put a huge budern on him to highlight our biggest celebrity. we are disappointed when I know his quit because of injury. however, we have no reason to blame anybody. it is sport, it is competition. bless him recover soon and wish I can see him in london in four years!!!!!

I am so disappointed because my home is in beijing but me is in the UK now. I believe now that we will have a wonderful opening ceremony. however, Idon't know how to express my feeling when I know there will be over 100 presidents from all over the world come to Beijing. for myself, it is not necessary. the reason I have beening arguing for my country is not for this kind of show, I do for a kind of spirit of olympic which is from the west. I am so proud of being able to enjoy it (even some protests).
sadly, it seems to have become a war between chinese government and western media this time.
I have to say here, we chinese people is the one who give the last word! Don't ignore it!

before reading your article, I watched the video about some american athletes worn mask when they came to beijing. I cannot stop crying. I have been the UK for four years because I believe you have higher morality. maybe the news about china from BBC are used to give pressure to our government. being a normal chinese who had ever refused to join the communist, get lost now. I don't feel shame being a chinese, However, I feel extremely unfair to us chinese people. before you ask our government to give more human rights to us, have you done one thing to improve your attidute towards us chinese people? it seems you are encouraging anything which is anti-china. this time, I have to say, both exile tibeten and those terrorists SEEM TO have got unseeable power from SOMEWHERE IN capital countries. being a normal person, I scare about violence because I seldom get protection like rich people, meanwhile, I don't scare anymore once it happened because I am poor and don't need to worry about how much I will lose like the rich.
Rogge the statesman pours oil on troubled waters 11:46am on 04 Aug 2008 I know it is quite difficult to be understood by a correspondent who is from far more developed country than us. being a normal chinese, I do agree that our government is quite serious or nervous this time. and on the other hand, the western media is not so purly to represent justice and objectiveness. because we are still a poor country, respectation seems the only thing we are able to keep. therefore, it is not a good idea just to criticise us by anything no matter it is true or not. in order to ask for more improvement from our government, we do welcome the help from outside world, however, our ancestor has left lesson to us: balance the advantages and disadvantages before making our decisions. this time, we support our government because they are responsible to our peaceful lives which is our basic demand and our normal citizen would become the only victims if we fellow your freedom now. in addition, from traditional chinese philosophy, we are not enouraged to argue, I think that is one reason why it needs to take a bit more time to fully understand us if you want.
