Congratulations on a fine reduction in plastic waste. Others will follow suit and achieve their own figure.

A return to some plastic is inevitable but I hope you have decided to keep some reductions in plastic waste material. In our trend everyone who has started has achieved some level of waste reduction.

Thank you for enabling myself, and like-minds, to express our views on Zero Waste.

Sustainability is the end product of changes to the chain of waste. That is our goal. We contribute to sustainability by reducing our waste to minimal amounts.

There is resistance to this necessary change by vested interests. Nevertheless, we will continue our Zero Waste challenge and with numbers joining every day the conclusion is not in doubt.

Other parts of the chain must adopt a similar approach by reducing their waste in turn. The endless production of waste must end and a minimal waste system introduced. Full sustainability will be achieved.

Further Zero waste finds have been the all steel razor and blades and coffee beans in a reusable container.

As Beth said earlier containers may be the way to take food commodities from stores with combination plastic packaging totally avoided.

Rubbish. Zero Waste is across the world. In the USA, Europe, Australasia, Japan, The Middle East.

To denigrate the USA which leads in Zero Waste in the business world is stupid. Their excellent business attitude has given them the lead. Hopefully, UK business will catch- on and catch up.

Negative comments on Zero Waste, by plastic packaging types and fellow travellers, will have Zero effect on the sustainable bandwagon.

I want to see fully sustainable plastic. Until then I will choose ZeroWastePackaging as a personal stand against plastic packaging waste. Others feel the same.

The Lush deodorant bar has been in use for a few days now. It is way different from sprays but I like the absence of waste at the end of use. It certainly is a sustainable choice.

What we need is a soap shaving stick, and a toothpaste preparation, to use with my sustainably sourced wooden toothbrush.

Part of the Zero Waste challenge is to find alternatives to all current waste items. These are appearing in more frequent numbers as more people join-in.

We are consumers and can only indirectly influence other areas of the chain of waste.
What we can do is reduce our landfill contribution, personally from 100 binbags to 1, as part of the drive to sustainability.

Other parts of the chain must reduce their waste to a minimum as well.

We describe ourselves as Zero Waste enthusiasts. We are aiming for that ideal. The people involved are the salt of the earth.

I use a plastic compost bin and I would recommend it to anyone seeking advice.

Fully wet compost is not a factor in my home composting. I like Anearobic Digestion as it can eliminate food waste from landfill.
