Ashes preparation starts here 6:37pm on 05 May 2009 We wait all these years since Stewie retired to find a wicketkeeper/batsman who is good enough to average 40+ and when we find him we want him out. Ridiculous. He has made errors but he has also played some fantastic innings. No one else is in his class with bat in hand. I'm not saying he should be forgiven everytime he makes a mistake but as he's by far the best option we have he should be given every opportunity to get it right.

I like Foster and Ambrose but put them in this current side and our batting looks so weak it's scary. A fit and firing Matt Prior at five, six or seven gives us a much better chance of regaining the ashes.
Paraguay's remarkable progress 2:09pm on 15 Sep 2008 I know you get asked an awful lot of questions in this blog Tim but can I ask why Fabio Aurelio is constantly overlooked for a place in the Brazil squad? I know he's suffered many injuries but I can't imagine that Brazil have many full backs as good as him. He's still only 28 as well..
Crouch deal proves Redknapp's quality 4:56pm on 07 Jul 2008 Phil, I apologise if I'm reading your comments incorrectly but how is it that Benitez was wrong to set Crouch's original fee at £15m yet Martin O'Neill is absolutely correct to demand £18m for Gareth Barry?

I appreciate you're not too keen on Liverpool and or Benitez but your latest articles on the club don't seem to make any sense other than to have a dig. This I find really sad as you have a lot of interesting points to make when talking about other matters.
