Ryan King! 7:41pm on 14 Dec 2009 1. Congratulations to Ryan Giggs. He deserves the award.

2. Last week, when some were making way too much of Gerrard's dive, I said that other England internationals such as Rooney and Joe Cole do it too. The moderators thought that my comments were offensive and were removed. After Rooney's latest outrageous dive, what do they have to say for themselves? Or will they remove this post too? I think an apology is in order here.

3. Those who still think that only non-British players cheat are deluded.

Definition: Statistics is the science of data manipulation with the aid of mathematics. Purpose: The presentation of various figures in convincing manner in a way that suites the presenter and his arguments.

So, next time Robbo can use his stats to tell us why England will win the World Cup.
Another spot of bother 09:44am on 08 Dec 2009 I honestly wonder why my mentioning of other England internationals that also dive riled the moderators. Surely a mere mentioning of FACTS cannot be offensive?
Another spot of bother 10:33pm on 07 Dec 2009 Because it is not news Trot, that's why. A player who is known to dive (and I am a Liverpool fan) and is not very good at it was it again only this time he didn't get anything for his troubles.

If he had won a penalty or it was some very high-profile match then yes, I can assure you that everyone would be talking about it.

I admit it is very embarrassing that a player of Gerrard's quality does these things but like I said, what's new? Unfortunately, the best players in the world are it too. If FIFA doesn't act -and knowing the incompetent Blater they won't- this is what we will have to put up with. Let us just hope that some referees will pay attention and will book the culprits.

Bye Bye Pinocchio 8:46pm on 25 Oct 2009 Oh dear! What a great pity! The "invincible" United team lost because they were hard done by the ref and not because they were outplayed. No "Fergie time" added at the end? No penalty? No sending off of an opposition player? That ref must have been wearing 'pool blinkers. Oh yeah, that's why he didn't see Berbatov ripping off Kuyt's shirt in the penalty area.

In all seriousness though, despite outplaying Man U. we still have to buy in January to strengthen the squad because their isn't much behind the starting 11, especially in the strikers compartment. And there's no reason to believe that Hicks and Gillette are going to provide the cash..

Robbo, few are questioning the decision to replace Southgate but I think the timing and manner of it all is rather questionable.
Time Is On Your Side, Fergie 9:52pm on 21 Sep 2009 Robbo, this really was one of your best blogs. The "laws of nature" were absolutely priceless. I did however notice that you conveniently chose to focus on the Manchester derby and wrote a mere 3 sentences on the Boro's rather unfortunate result.

Granted, the derby had many talking points which you covered brilliantly. Surely though, such a stunning result in a match featuring two promotion favorites deserved a little more coverage.
Review of the week 2:53pm on 19 Jun 2009 Can we all -especially the pundits- stop blabbering on about Owen as if he is anything else but finished? I'm sorry about his injuries and all that but those (and sadly that includes some BBC 5 live football correspondents) who think he should be part of the England squad are deluded.
Fixture and frettings 00:07am on 19 Jun 2009 It is wrong to say that Man. U were built around the gelled tumbler (thanks Robbo for that-pure genius!). He was very significant in that he could change a game by himself and Man U will miss him.

However, the comment that the only other player to have his traits was Pele is way over the top. I mean common... What about Platini and Maradona? He is better than them too is he now? They could give great passes, were devastating in front of goal, controlled play and could really take a free kick AND could take their teams by the scruff of the neck when all chips were down. The same goes for Zidane who I think some are really underestimating.

He has great ability but has zero leadership qualities.

So, let us all get some sense of proportion shall we?
