The rights to highlight 11:14am on 09 Aug 2009 Not a bad programme despite the late timing (accept you have to cater for all including non-sporting fans) and ofcourse the mishap in the middle of the League Two goals.

Personally I don't really take note of the pundits because in reality just want to see some goals really.
Olympic obsession 10:45pm on 04 Aug 2009 A quick couple of questions.

I have wondered if you athletes in the so called "minority sport" group feel when you see all this mass coverage for events such as rowing/sailing in the Olympics but for the years befoe and after you get very little?

Is it a case of knowing in Britian what the main most popular sports are and we just need to produce results year after year as you do to get more coverage and suffers because of the "posh/middle class image".

How big is rowing generally in the rest of Europe in terms of crowd support?

Hope this question are ok to answer and as I said good luck (at least come 2012 we'll be assured of sporting success for Great Britian with you guys and girls!)

Best-ever British display bodes well for London 5:14pm on 03 Aug 2009 Is it because they get attracted to sports which require big physique like rugby (in the boys case) ahead of swimming or as you say just because we have a different selection policy (they want the best youngsters rather than the biggest and trying to improve them more?)

The girls all seen to be really united and supportive of each other as a team should be and in all fairness the likes of Becky Adlington will be determined to put a disappointing race like the 800m right behind her and get back to winning ways.

China and Russia would have more option to pick from in terms of depth I guess which will help them.

The main thing is for futher improvement rather than going backawards at the next World Championships before 2012.

As for the suits...it was good to see world records as that is partly what makes swimming attractive but has the mark been lowered so much that once these suits are oulawed come 2012 we won't see any.
Just how much faster are those controversial swimsuits? 4:48pm on 31 Jul 2009 Going back to the old form of swimwear will at least give the swimmers more time to prepare before races than worrying about how long it takes to put this new suit on!

Looks painful...guess if you win and get a World record they don't care though.
Big decisions need to be made 8:07pm on 30 Jul 2009 I feel a little sorry for TV channels like the BBC becuse whilst to say they get an awful lot of money for various programmes and to pay their own staff is totally right and fair just think of how many complaints might well come in from non-sport fans if they decided to show 5 tests matches a summer for 5 days...guess they try to cater for everyone somehow.

Its probably bad enough when there is Wimbledon or a footie match gets delayed...
Big decisions need to be made 5:08pm on 30 Jul 2009 I reckon they know the ECB will stick with Sky whatever so won't bother bidding for the Ashes.

Shame to hear the Olympics might go...how will minority sports get more focus if they are shoved away on Sky (at the start of the football season as well..)
Beijing disappointment drives Spofforth to gold 8:36pm on 29 Jul 2009 Well done Gemma Spofforth on her great win last night....even better when she wasn't wearing one of these new suits which are causing so much debate.

Will FINA decide to scrap any records with the current suits being used because as the 2nd blogger says world recoards being broken are part of what makes swimming attractive but that won't happen for a whille of records remain.
