Ferdinand must sharpen up 12:45pm on 12 Oct 2009 I didn't see the game so I can't really comment but I swear Phil McNulty watches a different Wayne Rooney to the rest of us, I don't know if it's cos he's an Everton boy like Phil but even when Rooey puts in a dreadful performance Phil still praises him as the best player on the pitch, I say this every time you do a blog Phil but every week you still come back with the old Rooney is our saviour rubbish, I admit he's a good player but he hasn't done much for united, whether that's because he's been played on the wing I don't know but you'd have thought a master manager like Fergie would know how to get the best out of his players?
