I subscribe to much you say. I think it is unoriginal and naive to consider that the politicians in Iran, Iraq, Syria and the Great Game regions are above reproach, or ever have been. However what is more potent is the degree of external influence upon these regions as the power houses manoeuvre their pieces around the board. We observe the product of these activities but seldom see the prep plans. We are also ravaged by false flags (of which 9/11 may have been one).

We share the view of a press and media (not just in the US) that is over influenced by Jewishness and therefore borders on propaganda much of the time. Perhaps this propaganda can be manipulated by cleverer people without them falling into the category of personality disordered. Indeed the 9/11 truth movements have had many successes by doing just that.

What I do not quite have a grasp of is the need for a "battle" over the Nabucco pipeline. This facility stands to improve the lives of many people (at least on paper) from the drillers and pumpers of the fuel, the security keepers, those who sell the products flowing through, to the consumer at the end of the chain. So is the real problem about a lack of trust amongst the leaders involved? And that such a strategic facility can be easily destroyed anywhere along its length to temporarily or semi-permanently cripple all involved?

How do you stabilise countries who do not have stable social groupings? Even in Israel we have seen the need to evict the "unworthy" to make space for the "worthy", a feature shared with others in the region. So there is a tendency to try to move problems elsewhere, a strategy that seldom works long term.

Personally I'd like to know who the mover of the mover of the pieces is....

How much influence do clandestine operators have over most everything we see? If one accepts that there is more to 9/11 than what we have been told (as #125 demonstrates) we are battling against ourselves just to remain sane. Just what influences are used daily in our media operations as new managers are appointed not for leadership but for control? What if a management model relies on an ability to "follow orders without question"?

We have a dangerous game being played with our lives and yet we are easily distracted by whatever can be "invented" or "introduced" to do so. In hypnosis it is called the distraction of our consciousness so that our sub- or un-consciousness can operate more efficiently. This is so easy to use for manipulation and less worthy purposes.

The Middle Eastern cultures used "distraction" and the "magic of illusion" very effectively to prove the existence of "God". It seems their ability to play David Copperfield (see #117) has become a work of necessity in government.
Serious situation 05:47am on 17 Apr 2009 When we are talking about "ethical codes" then who are we saying has agreed the standards of acceptable behaviours and how do we ensure that standards are followed? The US still executes many people. Their execution techniques have followed a number of quite brutal methods. Members of the EU have also used decapitation and other methods.

The US President has recently spoken on CIA treatment of suspects without indicating that there will be criminal prosecution of those involved despite the breaches of "International ethical codes". When it comes to the creation of high standards those who preach sanctimony must first set and be examples to others.

If we are suggesting that there should be a Bill of Rights for every person on this Planet then that must be endorsed by every nation. That Bill of Rights must then be governed by an appropriate and neutral global organisation with executive power over all others. We are a million light years from that kind of situation. We have a greater chance that ET will return with a considerable number of "his" friends.

I am indebted to your vigorous pursuit of facts relating to the Middle East, and indeed to the careful way you prepare and justify your attacks on the "few" with vested interests who treat the many with contempt.

There is now much more clarity about what we, ordinary people, are up against. We have leaders who are not leaders at all; they are simply closer than we are to the "few who lead". They are "leaders" because they are prepared "to follow the plan of the few to the letter of the plan". There is now much more clarity about our media, constrained and confined by the shackles "they have chosen to wear".

Please keep up the good work.

When it is the media who helped to create this young woman's precarious situation then I would suggest that the media is now being somewhat disingenuous in its protest. The damage was done over a two year period. I do not believe you understand just how much information is available via these press outlets (and elsewhere) that the Iranians have already monitored thus assisting Iran to produce the case against Roxanna Saberi and the current crisis. It is a bit late in the day to shut the stable door.

As I said before is the BBC afraid of "free speech" when it comes to Iran?

Please explain why your blog says "it is not appropriate for us to comment further" when the channel you are the editor of is carrying full reports with commentary on Roxanna Saberi?

There are some interesting and very full debates on the subject of Roxanna Saberi and her arrest and trial for espionage elsewhere on the Internet that do not begin with such a grave starter or indeed first comment. I have just eavesdropped on one such discussion in the US where opinion has been offered, amongst much support for her, that Ms Saberi "knew what she was doing". So why the big deal in your opening blog?

I will not rise to your cheap comments but merely suggest you read Ms Saberi's local US newspaper articles and compare it to what is in the original blog and the article referred to in this blog. Even now there is a marked difference.

I agree that the BBC appear to be in a difficult situation although that does not necessarily fit in with the original blog (by Jon Williams on 11.3.09) that did criticise Iran for imprisoning Ms Saberi "without clarification of the charges against her". It neglected to state that on the previous day (10.3.09) Ms Saberi had been visited by a lawyer. The lawyer reported that she was in "good spirits from the knowledge of how much support there was for her". This information was freely available to anyone logging onto to her local US newspaper outlet which whilst demonstrating concern was not quite so driven by media hysteria.

The logistics of the Nabucco pipeline do indeed fit the politics of conflict, real or imagined. Is Obama skillful enough to negotiate with Iran or will Israel spoil the party by seeking to gain their own advantages in the West Bank? The new president has his work cut out.

Does Petraeus have his eyes on the White House in 2012 in a straight contest against Obama? So Obama likes to keep his enemies close (sound wisdom) but will all of this end in tears? Petraeus is nothing if not ruthless.

The game of brinkmanship knows no bounds and unless and until our media get onside and start reporting for the benefit of their consumers rather than the benefit of their owners we are not going to be given the crucial information we all need.

This is obviously not a game of charades anymore and it is getting increasingly more serious with every move made.
