I remember last year you talked about Comfrey, speficially Bocking 14. Have you any idea if Common Comfrey (Symphytum Officinale) will have the same uses?
I heard it on the grapevine... 11:19pm on 07 Mar 2009 So jealous Joe. Have been to Northern Rhone but would love to see Bordeaux. Maybe next year - far too much gardening to do this summer!

Just wanted to say thanks - when I saw the program with your home garden I was struck by your use of wine cases for growing.
As I run a wine bar, I have no shortage of these so I took a few home and now they are full of quickly growing pak choi and red spring onions!

I've been watching this season of GW (on Iplayer - thanks to the interwebnets!) for the first time and I love your bits (I have to say I skip past some of the boring flower sections!)

I have loved watching your progress on the allotment. I have a small patch of garden that I have been working for two years now and thanks to your inspiration I have gone from just runner beans of last year to a bumper crop this year - Runners, Potatoes, Chillis, Tomatoes, Swede, Pak Choi, Rocket, Spring Onions, Garlic, Basil, Carrots, Parsnips, Radishes and Beetroot!

I have a lot to thank you for and if you're ever in Central London, you're welcome to pop into my bar for a beer!
