I'd love to see Usain Bolt given the go ahead up-front against Hull on the week-end. Boas Myhill wouldn't see him coming.
Review of the week 9:47pm on 08 May 2009 Great blog Chris, funny stuff. Have to admit, after seeing eleven other players in our Arsenal squad caught with their pants down, Bendtner's incident was pretty negligible.
Bitter recriminations at the Bridge 5:08pm on 07 May 2009 Yes, the referee was poor on the night, but Drogba has to take some blame for 'Crying Wolf'. Being renound as a constant diver will unfortunetely have that effect on some referees. However, this doesn't excuse two blatant handball appeals, and Chelsea are VERY unlucky to miss out on the final.
England still need Owen 12:30pm on 30 Mar 2009 Agreed Phil, we cannot afford not to have someone like Michael Owen with us. The problem we have is that now we have found that Gerrard Rooney and Heskey works a treat, if Rooney (god forbid) ever needs to come off in a game, who do we turn to as a replacement without Owen? Heskey and Cole or Crouch won't work as an attacking force up-front, and given that we know already how lethal the Heskey & Owen partnership can be i can't see how Darren Bent would be a justifiable selection. I'd even put Agbonglahor ahead of Bent as a Rooney understudy.

Anyway here's hoping i get proved wrong.

Wenger wise to appoint Fabregas 8:50pm on 24 Nov 2008 Really hope this goes well. With our style of attacking football it should bode well for us to have a midfield captain, a Gerrard type that can pump life into a team when they need it most, and score vital goals. Fabregas already showed this last season e.g. at Milan and Anfield, and his reactions show what it means to him when he gets these goals. It seems to give the rest of the team new-found energy, and, if he gets back to last years form, he should have no problem driving this team to get valuable results.

Wenger must cure Arsenal frailty 4:24pm on 03 Nov 2008 What we are crying out for right now is a real leader of a defensive mid. Thats what we're lacking at the moment IMO. Yes, the strength and the tactics of the squad need improving, but right now we need a proper defensive mid in front of the back four that can captain the team and give the rest of the midfield a slap and recover the ball when they lose it needlessly. Would also hopefully allow Fabregas to be the more attacking player he was last season. Its a shame Flamini left really, he could have made a good captain one day.
Tottenham go back to basics 6:00pm on 26 Oct 2008 I just can't understand why he has left Portsmouth for Spurs. Why would you go from a decent team that you just won the FA cup with to a struggling team at the bottom of the table that even on form probably wouldn't overshadow Portsmouth?
