Gerrard isn't getting any younger, Carragher is almost past it, what have Liverpool got in defence? If this was United going out early in this fashion, you'd be writing a blog about how it must have been United's demise the Mayans were on about with their calendar!

Youth system in tatters, hasn't delivered one player to the first team the whole time he's been there. A squad that inspires panic as soon as it gets a couple of injuries. A complete mess. Unfortunately people like Matt Slater, who claim not to point fingers, don't declare either way where they sit and let others do the judging for them - they make others believe there are still serious problems. People are happy to spend £20m on a black player, but do not trust a manager? That's just stupid.

In reality there simply aren't that many black english managers to choose from at the moment. Ian Wright? He doesn't even have any coaching badges, and hasn't ever tried to get them!

This is an opinion stated as fact. Firstly, it was the media who sold this story to the public. The reality is, Blackburn's owners panicked after a slow start, and like several clubs before them, prematurely sacked the manager as falling out of the premiership would have set the club back 5 years.

You don't honestly think the owners sat there and said "this guy can't handle the pressure of being the league's first english black manager - time to get rid" do you??? Honestly, how do you bloggers get jobs in the BBC writing about football?

His strike rate is good, that is what every other international team have at 6/7. Players like Wright, who come in to his boundaries. They will get out cheaply. But that's the nature of their game

Luke Wright is definitely someone they will persist with in the future. He's exactly the kind of player England need in their ODI team. Morgan as well, he has the shots to succeed
