End in sight for Pompey's blues? 10:21am on 22 Aug 2009 Forget the football -what can you buy in a carp shopping centre ? Do the fish in Pompey wear fur coats and carry designer handbags? Can't say I've seen many carp shopping during my travels.
No carping about Kaka coup 4:34pm on 16 Jan 2009 There are still two weeks left for City to sign four or more players to fit around Kaka,Robinho,Stephen Ireland,Kompany,Sean Wright Phillips,Zabaleta and Bridge.

We've also got Bojinov , Petrov and Johnston to return from injury and Sturridge , Weiss, Mee and others developing from last years cup winning youth team.

City will progress quickly this season and with more players signed in the summer we will certainly we will be challenging the top four next season.

Who wouldnt want to join City with this quality of player to play alongside ?
England must raise game in Zagreb 09:35am on 07 Sep 2008 When did we last see a decent performance from an England team ? We should have won by at least 5 goals in thg second half.

Hopefully Gerrard should be back after the Croatia game. He will replace Lampard who never performs in an England shirt.

Downing and Defoe are not England standard either.

There will soon be an obvious candidate for the right wing position.By the time the next qualifying games arrive Sean Wright-Phillips will have played a number of games and be right in form.

If Rooney doesn't put in a decent performance against Croatia he should be replaced as well.

I see Germany had a similar game against Liechtenstein last night and scored six ! Enough said.
You Are The Ref - your suggestions 9:58pm on 30 May 2008 Two amateur matches are taking place on adjacent pitches.The ball from one pitch goes onto the adjacent pitch. A player from the first pitch goes to retrieve the ball. A player from the second pitch gives the ball a hefty kick further away.The two players then square up and hit each other. What action should you as the ref take ?

(This actually happened in a game on a Birmingham parks pitch a few years ago)
