Atletico facing the abyss... again 11:01pm on 22 Sep 2009 Atletico are nothing like Newcastle purely because of their frontline. The rest of their team is very good too but the frontline would get into most sides in the world. Forlan the top goalscorer in Europe last season I believe? And of course the supremely talented Aguero who can create a goal out of nothing. Aguero would definitely get into the Champions of England's side. Though that may be more to do with Berbatov's impotence.

Sorry but did you actually watch the match? How in any way was that a dive? He slipped. He was awarded a penalty. Do you expect him to tell the referee that it wasn't a penalty? Who would do that especially at 0-0? Eduardo's dive was so obviously blatant and clearly an attempt to win a penalty. Rooney was slipping along with the defender. Big difference. I don't agree with Eduardo being banned when there are so many cases of diving across the world every week. But to claim Rooney isn't being accused of diving because he's English and NOT because he actually wasn't diving in the first place is pretty blinkered.

How will the Premier League unfold? 11:36am on 11 Aug 2009 Man Utd and Everton are doubted pretty much every season. Can Man Utd match their achievements of last season blah blah blah. Everton are on to small a budget and will not be so lucky blah blah blah. Everton are clearly top 6 contenders. Not because of their players. Because of Moyes. The man is brilliant. And Man Utd may have lost Ronaldo but I would be more worried if we'd lost Ferdinand or Vidic. They are the bedrock of the team. Man Utd will always score plenty of goals. But not conceding as many is the difficult part. And I think it's been proven that Man Utd has by far the best central defensive partnership.

Also bad article, not because you tipped Liverpool. But because there was absolutely no reasons given why Liverpool will be better than last season. And they won't. Last season was pure luck. That was the first time they seriously challenged for the Premiership and I don't expect it to be happening again looking at their players. Chelsea are the real threats. I expect it to be very close between Man Utd and Chelsea. Everyone else is pretty much irrelevant, including Man City's pathetically unbalanced squad.

Owen worth Man Utd gamble 10:26am on 03 Jul 2009 He's coming for free and not as high wages as our other players and he's quite clearly going to be a backup. I don't mind. He'll be a good sub. Maybe challenge Berbatov for a place to partner Rooney. I's very surprising that it happened so quickly but not surprising if you look at Owen and our other strikers. All different. And again, he's free.
