Benitez under spotlight after Champions League exit 11:42am on 25 Nov 2009 Liverpool winning the Europa League is not a full gone conclusion. There are some strong teams left in that competition and a long cup run may jeopardise their chances of finishing in the top 4 this season.
Ferguson revels in classic win 10:21am on 21 Sep 2009 Whats the problem with people on here? It was 3-3 in extra time. City could have scored just as we did. The time was justified due to the goal celebration and the substitution! The time issue is a non-argument.

Fantastic game, great action, and deserved winners! When City don't have the ball and are put under pressure, they don't even look top 10 let alone top 4...
Adebayor madness mars Man City win 11:39am on 14 Sep 2009 One day, Adebayor will look back at this day in his career and feel disgusted by his actions. He should at least, because what he showed on Saturday was not only is he an amazing talent when in top form, but also that he's a complete and utter nutcase! Inciting fans has happened before, and this probably wont be the last time it happens either. Apart from almost causing a stampede of Arsenal fans wanting to rush the pitch, it was not the worst of his actions that day. IMO, stamping on RVP and Fabregas were far far worse. The RVP incident, was definitely intentional. Adebayor was nowhere near the ball when according to himself he was "going for the ball" instead dragging his boot across RVP's face. This man has no class, no respect for fellow pro's, and no sense of sportsmanship. Frankly, banning him for 6 games is the least he should get.

This has tarnished what was surely a memorable win for City. We face them next, and obviously I am hoping we bring them back down to earth with a bang, and without that senseless madman Adebayor.
Arsenal's revival faces Man Utd test 09:48am on 28 Aug 2009 2-1 United. I can see Arsenal folding under the pressure at OT, and with the possibility of Fabregas being out, I think the 3 points are there for us to grab. If we score early I wouldn't be surprised if we hammer them 3 or 4 nil!

This is a typical posting from a sore loser. United have been the best team this season. The table and the trophy proves it! The fact that Liverpool beat us both home and away is hard to take for any Utd fan but does not mean Liverpool were the best. The Premier League is decided over the course of a season... not just two games. Or haven't you learnt that yet??

To all the Liverpool fans who are man/woman enough to congratulate us on our achievement, I say thanks and take my hat off to you. You gave us quite a run for our money this year! Here's to another well fought battle for the 09/10 league.

In the meantime, we get ready Rome. Glory Glory Man United!
Will Tevez row spoil Man Utd party? 5:54pm on 14 May 2009 I for one hope we sign Tevez permantley. He is quality, a real fan favourite, and we cant afford to let him leave to one of our league rivals... especially City!!

Bitter recriminations at the Bridge 10:23am on 07 May 2009 Firstly, a lot of people making comments on this blog don't seem to get what football actually involves. It consists of attack, AND defence. Not 100% all out attack. Which is why Barca very nearly (and should of) crashed out last night.

I feel very sorry for Chelsea fans. They were well and truly robbed by UEFA on Wednesday night. I cant remember the last time I saw so many penalty claims in one match. I believe there were 4, of which 2 looked pretty stone-wall for me, the others were debatable. But for the referee to shrug them all away is ludicrous! If I were a Chelsea fan Id be spitting feathers, and as for Drogbas outburst at the ref and the cameras, well can you really blame him? He has just seen his team crash out of Europe through no fault of their own, and felt a deep injustice by what had unfolded in front of 40,000 people. As much as I dont like him, I feel he had a right to be angry with the ref, however, I dont condone swearing at the TV cameras.

UEFA have got what they wanted, the chance for a non-England based team to win the European Cup. Unfortunately for them, there is still one of us in it. From the evidence of matches over recent seasons, Barca really do seem to struggle at breaking down English sides. Yes, they can play beautiful, attacking football at times, but can they play that against a United team full of confidence, that can attack with just as much devastating force as they can, and know how to DEFEND properly? I dont think they can. This beautiful football myth seems to only apply when they are playing other La Liga standard teams.

From a United point of view, this is a great result. Chelsea would have been a very difficult prospect to overcome in Rome, if anything purely because of the revenge factor for our triumph in Moscow. I feel much more confident in up-ending Barcelona in the final because they can only play one way. They bomb forward with disregard for their fragile defence. There is no mystique in what Barca do, they will arrive at the final and from the get go will try and attack in pretty little triangles and short passes. But United can play the game whichever way they like. We can either park a bus in our half and counter, or play Barca at their own game and go out guns blazing, or thump those long balls into the box which they seem to find sooooo hard to deal with. Whatever it takes to win and bring a fourth European trophy to Manchester, SAF will do. Its this versatility in our strategy that I think will give us the edge.

Forget the pretty, pure football final everyone keeps banging on about, when it comes to winning the cup its all about picking the right strategy with your opponents in mind.

Agree completely. Its the hatred and rivalry that give football so many talking points each and every week. How boring would it be if we all just got along with each other?? As long as United are in existence, we will be hated by most fans of other English clubs, and that's ok, because we don't much like you either. It is a measure of just how successful Utd have been...

A polite message to any United fans who may not realise what they are doing when they say 'Man U', please don't use this term as it is considered an insult to the club. Use 'Man Utd', it doesn't take much to tag the 'td' on the end, and you wont offend any of your fellow reds! ;-)
