Tennessee hit troubling times 8:25pm on 13 Oct 2009 As I expected the Pats Broncos game came down to small decisive moments. Horrible call on Merriweather in the 4th quarter which led to the tying touchdown. Having said that great effort from the Broncos to keep a scoreless second half against Brady (although I don't think Brady's still at 100%).

Still don't rate Orton though.
Age no barrier to New England success 11:05pm on 09 Oct 2009 I wouldn't say the Jets stuffed them impressively. 16-9 is not exactly a thrashing and had the Pats converted some of their Red Zone opportunities it would have been a different game.

The Denver defense is pretty solid and without Taylor, the Pats might become more dependant on their passing game (Denver might be able to cover this better without the Taylor weapon as a distraction).

Orton's surprised me, but I'm not convinced yet. The NE defense is also somewhat underrated - it reads the game pretty well and guys like Brandon Merriweather go about their business so effectively without being noticed.

I think this is another one that's going to hinge on who takes their Red Zone opportunities. But with Wes Welker back, my money's on the Pats

We really lack quality young fast bowlers in this country at the moment who can consistently bowl good line and length, at a good pace and with a bit of movement. The ones who can always seem to get injured!
Foster key for new-look Twenty20 squad 6:23pm on 01 May 2009 I find the new selection somewhat comical, yet unsurprising. New coach with Essex ties - all of a sudden Essex players are on the England scene. I totally concur with your view Ollie that Worcestershire is an unfashionable county. Fortunate for Worcester supporters as their squad is small, but why did they bother taking Davies to West Indies if they weren't going to persevere with him? HE's been in outstanding form so far this season.

And don't get me started on Rob Key.

Aussies send Ashes warning 9:01pm on 13 Mar 2009 The fact is Australia are more ruthless and quite happy to give other players a go when the current lot aren't performing. It's about time the England set up got a kick up the backside and got sorted out - it's far too much like an old boys club - talk of bringing Vaughan back or playing Harmison again sums that up.

Can't see it happening for a while though.
A new look for F1 12:30pm on 07 Mar 2009 I cannot believe Jake Humphrey is the primary presenter for BBC's coverage of Formula 1.

It's enough to make we not want to watch.
