Best moments of Berlin 6:16pm on 24 Aug 2009 Really going to miss watching these championships in the evenings. It was a carnival atmosphere and i was glad for Idowu to claim gold it cant be easy competing with the shadow of Edwards brilliance in the event. Agree with most of the above a great championships a superb silver for the brit 400 relay team as well. A mention for the commentary by Cram and Edwards who attract some criticism personally i find their commentary spot on.
Regrettable the fiasco involving Semenya badly handled, berlino of cours brought some light relief whoever it was did a great job. But i suppose the star was Bolt who has raised the bar for sprinting and human capability.

The men who witnessed sporting history 5:52pm on 22 Aug 2009 Whilst i dont disagree with the article the bbcs coverage of a wonderful athletics event has been satured with this. Please does every program have to go on about the same thing. Typical example of the bbc milking a story for all its worth.
I wonder if when the olympics are held in this country will the worlds media go on about great fire of London or the plague or the british empire and its atrocities. Please give us a break and i am not being insensitive but at what point are people allowed to move on. I like the bbc mixing up the coverage but they have overdone this Hitler thing. Please seperate sport from the politics.

Oh well you learn something new every day good luck to the lad he's gonna need it. At least it should make the premier a bit more interesting next season to see if city can challenge top 4 clubs.

Not only are transfer fees completely stupid but also overinflated salaries which will increase the pressure on managers next season. I expect a load of sackings next season while utd just go about their business as usual.
Owen worth Man Utd gamble 11:29am on 03 Jul 2009 I had a feeling that utd would do this seeing as they have tried similar situations with Larsson and Sheringham. Come on spend the money Owen on a free for pitys sake what will he offer utd. I am not that thrilled about Valencia tbh but Owen, well if he doesnt rise to the occasion and rediscover the belief and drive from moving to utd then he may as well call it a day. As a deal both sides gain and if anyone can bring out form in Owen again surely its fergie.
Man Utd right to sell Ronaldo 9:49pm on 11 Jun 2009 Ronaldo was great with Rooney they had a telepathic understanding and it will be sad to see that end. But im glad its all finalised and utd can move on,no point in having players that dont want to play for the club. And his antics in the derby match with city were annoying and very immature. But 80m is a stupid amount of money for one player to just kick a ball and i cant blame utd for not turning it down.

His goal input will be missed and this is why Berbatov needs to step up next season and start producing on a regular basis. No reason with the money why he cant keep Tevez and buy one or two players and im sure fergie has someone on his mind.

Oh my god is this a football match or a war zone. Maybe the next referee should be equipped with body armour. I hope uefa throw the book at Chelsea conspiracy theories LOL just LOL.
Bitter recriminations at the Bridge 4:10pm on 07 May 2009 I am fed up of seeing players acting like thugs on a football pitch Barton Drogba, Ballack etc and yet no matter what their clubs back them to the hilt. Its passion they say dont make me laugh self discipline is a virtue some players dont know about.
And as for these penalties 3 of them are not as clear cut as everyone says yes one was a handball which took the ball away from Anelka. But Ballacks reaction was laughable and as for Drogba he falls over so often referees cant tell whether its genuine or fake. Death threats against a referee is a disgrace and all this anger displayed by chelsea players is only because of their frustration at not being able to see out the tie.
Man Utd pile on agony for Wenger 6:37pm on 06 May 2009 How many posts slating individual mistakes for the goals. Same with the unfortunate commentating during the match no mention of parks excellent opportunism and Ronaldos strike when everyone including me was expecting him to loft the ball into the area.
The commentating was garbage and i thought Beglin was desperate for an arsenal lifeline he hardly gave utd credit for anything thank god for Townsend and Sheringham who told the match like it was.
