Testing pollution levels 10:36am on 08 Jul 2008 I hope you are taking an actual 24 hour mean (which would invlove several readings per day at regular intervals) as stipulated by the WHO and are not just taking one reading per day at a time of your choosing. Would hate to see the reputation of professional statisticians being made to look bad by shoddy journalist statistics as so often happens...

Will be interesting to see the results- but get em done right!
Zimbabwe future on ICC agenda 09:38am on 25 Jun 2008 You could argue that elections aren't exactly "free and fair" in Pakistan , Russia or even the United States yet various English teams have played these nations recently. I'm not for one minute saying you can compare these nations to Zimbabwe, but is it fair to ban sportsmen from their competition and livelihoods becuase of the actions of their government?

I agree that The Apprentice, Top Gear and Eastenders encourage "unacceptable" behaviour (whatever that is) but if the BBC axes these it won't have any viewers will it?

While I don't like these shows, you can't just ban them, what about free speech?
