king blues 1:15pm on 11 May 2009 I also have been following this band for a while and thought this was a watershed performance for them as the atmosphere in the tent just got better and better as the gig went on and more people got into them

then just when you thought the energy level couldn't get any higher, on came Master Shortie for the last song

They talk about politics both onstage and in their songs but they do it with charisma, without hectoring, and in the context of great tunes (not all of which are political by any means).

I think they have struck just the right balance between pop and politics to encourage music fans to become activists (maybe McClure has too - we'll see).
