AM GLASS BOX FOR FRIDAY 3:22pm on 27 Nov 2009 Sid (51) If you watch the video referred to in 45,it only discusses temperatures. Climate change enthusiasts have realised that the facts do not fit their theories, and so have switched the name from Global Warming to Climate Change.
"but are of use for comparing years." - as you say. It is well established that we have seen no rise in temperature for the past 11 years; the Cornish data goes back further still.

And did you know that we are expected to reduce our oil consumption in future; OPEC expects us to compensate them for loss of earnings (I kid you not).

Most of what I hear on TFTD is pretty feeble. It is certainly no advertisement for organised religion, and often makes me cringe. Anne Atkins and the Chief Rabbi are the main exceptions. What I ponder is whether an atheist thinker would actually try to proselytise. I get tired of having atheism and evolution rammed down my throat, actually. Someone earlier mentioned tolerance - better not invite Richard Dawkins, then!
The AM Glass Box 1:03pm on 18 Nov 2009 Richard (23)- I've sometimes wondered that too, and also whence they get their weapons. I guess if the Taliban had no weapons, the foreign forces would by now have built loadsaroads and hospitals, schools etc. and we'd be seeing pictures of them eating their sandwiches at the roadside.
