Not so Big Four 3:56pm on 19 Oct 2009 "Top 4" will probably be reduced to the "top 3" as Liverpool drop out of contention and probably Man C taking their place, they look far more business like this year. Unfortunately what Man U, Chelsea & Arsenal have is STAYING POWER and by February that is a v-e-r-y valuable commodity -- look at last season where everyone at Villa was looking round for the fat lady to sing in February, then it all went pear shaped (no, not the fat lady).

Abramovich started it but when him and all the others get fed up writing cheques, the teams will be immediately bust -- City's wage bill is probably going to be north of 50 million 2009-10.
Owen worth Man Utd gamble 6:53pm on 03 Jul 2009 Well Ferguson ain't go much to lose and neither has Owen. A Huge work rate has gone out the window with Tevez and neither owen nor Berbatov are going to replace that. It is a calculated gamble but the Larsson loan proves that it could possibly work -- the only danger being that a couple of injuries to forwards in September does leave it a bit sparse...
Why Ronaldo is leaving Manchester for Madrid 12:18pm on 12 Jun 2009 I Think he will be a sore loss to Man Utd and to the premier league and I ain't no Man U fan either. I Don't think it is such a balmy deal as Real M. will earn a lot from both Kaka and Ronaldo. I Am old enough to remember the fuss made when Spurs paid 99,999 for Greaves and then the incredulity that Tony Hateley was worth £1m. What can Utd replace Ronaldo with ?, Ribery isn't going to be cheap or worth what Bayern
think he is worth. You have to suspect that Ferguson made an agreement with Ronaldo last season that he could go....if he stayed that extra year.
No excuses for Newcastle 08:31am on 25 May 2009 In 2008 if I were buying a football club, I would have bought Newcastle utd long before I considered Man City, the new owners would have seen a great deal more enthusiasm for their money. The huge squabble about bringing back Keegan last year was the ruination of the club and the fans have only themselves to blame for that. Now they are left with ageing players on big contracts and who wouldn't fetch much money in the transfer market. Someone good needs to sort the wheat from the chaff on the playing field otherwise Newcastle could do a Leeds Utd.
He failed to lead 3:47pm on 19 May 2009 Perhaps he was just unlucky that there were two crisis on his watch in fairly short succession (D Greence being the other). He seemed not to know how to handle either or be prepared to take any responsibility for either, perhaps that is what go him in the end. Anne Widdecombe has put her name forward and I think she would be very good because she is not implicated in the expenses row and is a deeply sincere person who talks a lot of sense.
Speaker's anger 11:29am on 12 May 2009 Nick does say that the voices are "gentle" and one can believe this. At times like this the house of commons is going to stick together. Yes of course he should go, I saw his disgusting behaviour towards Kate Hoey yesterday and it was hardly the stuff of Mr impartial speaker !!
Can Wenger fill the gap? 7:15pm on 04 May 2009 Ferguson isn't liked much by outsiders of Man U and I think generally regarded as both crafty and streetwise. Wenger isn't liked much by outsiders of Arsenal and is generally regarded as arrogant. Both have respect of both friends and enemies alike and both know exactly what
they want/expect from their teams. The first goal will decide the game I am sure.
