Changes to international pages (4) 6:46pm on 04 Jul 2009 I'm a bit surprised why so much attention is being given to people who don't even live in the UK and therefore don't pay for the BBC.

It's OUR BBC, surely WE should be the priority and OUR money shouldn't be spent on people who don't pay for it.

You say you think it's something that people want, but is it the BBC that came up with the idea, and got positive feedback to this, or did people actually ask for it without prompting?

Just seems a bit commercial to me, and the more commercial the BBC gets, the more impartiality it loses.

Surely it's easy enough for people to find BBC content to purchase themselves. Just type in 'Archers CD' or 'Archers audiobook' into any search engine.
BBC News radar 3:47pm on 01 Apr 2009 Yep, I like it, but would prefer if it was somehow incorporated on the main news front page - maybe to the right of the main story - and also would like some of its features (such as the published and/or first published time, whether it's an update or not etc) used on ALL stories on the BBC News website.

I like the idea of being able to switch on/off which feeds appear. I'm not interested in England/Devon news!

It sometimes seems to miss things. I've seen breaking news on the main news website, but it's not been mentioned on the Radar.
A new look for BBC World Service 2:27pm on 24 Mar 2009 Looks great - if only the BBC News website could take a leaf from its book. That site looks positively stale in comparison, having just been widened when it was relaunched, with little other design change.
More on the new R4 web site 1:03pm on 20 Mar 2009 Rebuilding the Radio 4 website was always going to be a huge task.

Not only is the sheer volume of content mind-boggling, but you also have the World's most difficult to please audience to satisfy!

No wonder it was one of the last pieces of the BBC online jigsaw that was put in place.

It's a little difficult to completely know whether you've failed or succeeded from just screenshots (though I'm grateful for the expanded annotated pages) but the 'look' seems to be clear and easy to use.

I agree that I'm not quite sure about the wavey header - I'd be interested to see a screencap of how this looks with the standard black BBC header and the Radio 4 header.

Good work though, and I look forward to seeing the whole thing shortly.
News ticker, most shared and most read 3:38pm on 13 Mar 2009 dross2 (43) - I think those of you who find a little red bar at the top of the page distracting will be hugely in the minority. Most people want things to be flagged better - which this has done.

And surely it SHOULD be distracting! Isn't that the point?

If you'd rather read a comprehensive well-written report, buy a newspaper and leave the rest of us to get on with the 21st century.

I'd actually like to call for something more to distract these people... the Cheltenham Gold Cup has just had an amazing result - wouldn't it be great if this could appear in the ticker highlighted in BBC Sport yellow?
Designing the new R4 web site 1:16pm on 11 Mar 2009 Agree with Briantist (4) - can we have a Beta to look at?

Lots of the other redesigned BBC websites (front page, weather, Radio 1) have had an option to use the beta for a few weeks before it officially launched.
