a. He's admitted he made transgressions, I think we've all got a fair idea that he's guilty of playing away. Maybe not to the extent of some of the reports but he's certainly been up to no good.

b. When you reach the status he has you have a responsibility to behave appropriately. He's not just another pro-golfer he's a global icon & he would've known full well any dirt on him reflects badly on him personnally and everything he represents - and is paid a kings ransom to represent.

c. Where does the money in professional sport come from? The general public and companies sponsorship. If the general public aren't interested in a sport there won't be any sponsors.
Woods is not golf's only talking point 1:48pm on 09 Dec 2009 Couldn't disagree more with the people who say what Tiger does behind closed doors is up to him. He's a role model, one of the most famous people in the world, an ambassador for golf. He has a responsibilty firstly to his family and secondly to the sport he represents to behave properly! IMO he has brought the game into disrepute.
He may be talented but he lacks any class. I've always been uneasy with the idea that his surly behaviour is due to being in 'the zone'. Could it just be he's a bit of a spoilt brat?
I can't see him ever living this down and I don't think he deserves to.

Yang the History Man 12:42pm on 18 Aug 2009 Another point, Wood's had won the previous two weeks running, two wins and runner up in a major - just in August! Doesn't sound like Tiger's got too much to concern him form wise.
Yang the History Man 12:35pm on 18 Aug 2009 I don't believe it's the end of an era but it may have dented the Wood's aura, now the rest of the field realise he is only human it'll give others more confidence to take him on. I doubt many will be able to emmulate Yang's ice cool performance on Sunday when the heat is really on, that's what it really boils down to and that's why Wood's has won so many titles, he can handle those intense situations better than most.As for his conduct on the course, it's not good and set's a very poor example, I've no doubt kids watching him will believe if Tiger Woods can chuck his clubs about, spit & swear why can't I?
Baffled by tactics and Boyd's omission 1:25pm on 14 Oct 2008 It really saddens me to see so few people criticising Boyd's selfish decision, and some people actually congratulating him. Where are the men in football these days? Most of the players behave like spoilt kids.

What happened to fighting for your place when you get dropped?

Dropping two points on Saturday was a blow but Boyd's antics have done more to unsettle the team and dent moral. He should apologise to Burley the SFA and the fans & most importantly his team mates.
Out of the frying pan... 1:24pm on 08 Sep 2008 I think France and Italy's results recently have put our achievements in the previous qualifying campaign into context. France are dire at the moment and Italy only scraped past Cyprus with a 92nd minute goal. However having said that Macedonia have had some decent results in recent times and it was always going to be a difficult opener. 3 points on Weds will get us back on track as Norway only drew at home, even if we only draw its not game over. Win the home games, scrape a few points away, thats the key. Starting with 2 away games was a strange decision given our record, maybe the SFA were being over confident?
