Good reasons to stay up late 5:51pm on 28 Jan 2009 well i must be the only dissapointed football fan on here then...the article comes over as a success for the BBC..and maybe it is for them..for me it means watching all the live games we really want to see online in HD as i cant afford sky etc..

Why cant the BBC concentrate on saving the national team and bringing back England to the BBC?

the article also states that you will be showing the semis and final of the carling cup...well it may have escaped you but the semis have already passed you by!

Capello may regret Owen exclusion 6:39pm on 01 Sep 2008 I can see both sides on the Owen exclusion...wasnt it Sven that said Owen is a great player but you have to wrap him in cotton wool?...In other words he was prone to injury...so as a footballing decesion I think its best to leave him out and get him back a month later for the next two qualifiers when he has had more matches under his belt.

David Beckham said after the first friendly against Switzerland(when he was left out for not being match fit) that Capello only made footballing desicions...

Im sure Owen will be back to face the 3rd and 4th qualifiers along with the other injured absentees.

Capello and Barwick suffer as England struggle 9:58pm on 21 Aug 2008 Ive read every comment here and others...As much I respect the history of fabio,s success...I wonder if he was aware of the pressure of national coach against team coach?

One wonders if he is in over his head as hes not able to train with the players very often and his inability to see what young good players are ready for the call is astounding!

After last nights poor effort he looked uncomfortable at the post match interview..

when the qualifiers start and we hope to beat Andora but lose badly to Croatia,I wonder how he will cope with the media/fan backlash..

For me,I want to see him suceed but I cant see him being popular for using Mc Clarens team over and over ..

If he had tried to push foward with new young,in form players but still lost matches I think fans would hail his efforts rather than churn out the same side that doesnt bring results?

A lot of fans have said they are fed up of England...well if that were true all of you would not have posted youre views here..I believe we all want the same thing..and that is to see England play a great game with exciting new players..

Capello and Barwick suffer as England struggle 7:22pm on 21 Aug 2008 This tv rights thingy is complicated I must admit..I am also disappointed that i could not watch the England match live.

As I understand it...Setanta have all friendlies and away matches this season with the home games being shown on ITV1.

Last season the BBC had the rights to all home games and friendlies with most away games on SKY.

As for champions league matches...if the game is played on a weds then ITV1 show it live...If the game is on a Tues then it is on SKY

think I have that correct?...If not say so please..

I agree however that all Englands games should be free viewing.The alternative BBC coverage last nite was 5live commentary with live text (thats ok when you have to sit on youre pc and refresh the damm thing just in case someone has bothered to type anything) case....all in all very poor

Why Man City must ditch Ronaldinho plan 6:28pm on 14 Jul 2008 If a big club like Barcelona want to sell him after an indifferent season then I think you have to ask youreself why?....he still perhaps has a bit of magic in those boots but I think his attitude would bring city down..after all I cant imagine him turning up away to Wigan in December when its maybe snowing....Its a big risk for city...its just a shame that the ball was rolling before Mark Hughes became coach.
