One giant leap 10:41pm on 29 Sep 2008 This blog has always contained some interesting arguments and perspective for me. Now that Voodohaze (that should be Voodoo by the way) has started to contribute with such aggression and disproportionate defence, I feel there is no point in contiuing to read it. Sorry to feel this way. This is what your kind of ideas will do to people.
National sentiment 11:59am on 16 Jul 2008 You forgot to mention, like Chinese teachers, that the British burnt down the Summer Palace in retaliation for the torturing of a British journalist. Chinese locals also looted the park.

China is the world's last remaining empire and, like all empires, will eventually fall and collapse one day.
Queuing Day 12:38pm on 11 Jul 2008 I feel that any article you publish will attract criticism from your Chinese readers - no matter how trivial.

Up until now, the Chinese had no idea how western countries viewed them. They probably felt that westerners thought of China as a peaceful country which is what all Chinese are taught about their own country. It must be very hard for them to take what people really think about China so they are very defensive about anything you write.

However, the Chinese should celebrate the fact that they are now allowed to read the foreign press and discover for themselves something about the world.
