Quotes of the week 10:14pm on 04 Nov 2009 Thank God we can now add our quotes. I'm tired of sending in quotes and being ignored mainly 'cos the person doing the quotes is too overworked/ possibly lazy.

Here's mine:

Against Liverpool in the Champs League tonight, Lyon had a player called Pjanic. I half expected too see Lance Corporal Jones from Dad's Army leap up shouting, "Don't Panic!Don't Panic!!"

Because I am not drinking to get drunk I rarely drink more than three bottles.

You are correct about not taking my liver, but if offered my brain, take it, but alas, not my football, which is in the liver category, lol.

If this is criticism then it is meant as illustrative criticism.

Perhaps you could let one of your relatives write the next few columns? Your Aunt’s boy Ted who does something financial in the City and who’s threatening the downfall of financial civilisation as we used to know it.

Perhaps an extremely billionaire casting a purchasing eye over distressed clubs, all the time complaining about everything he surveys, except the curvaceous receptionist at PerenniallyStruggling United.

Perhaps cameos from people you have known who could sub for you whilst stuck in the Bluebell loo, struggling with a dodgy kebab and insufficient loo paper.

Not for bottle-kicking but for nagging and nagging the fourth official non-stop for ninety minutes, in a manner similar to being attacked by a Tyrannosaurus, and for kicking the water bottle. And who amongst us cannot savour the warm inner glow felt by the fourth official getting his own back on the constant natterer?

And didn't Arsene enjoy hogging the spotlight in the stands.
