If Liverpool's team is populated by such suspect players, how have we managed to stumble to the top of the league, win our CL group, lose only a single game all season, no losses at home etc etc? Why aren't Everton doing something rather than languishing with the also rans? Is it because all Liverpool's 'dodgy' players are better than Everton's?

As for our season being in jeopardy, I'm struggling to see your logic. If we lose, we still have the CL and the league title to compete for. We may not win them but we are definitely involved. If you lose, get the holiday brochures out.

And, yes, we know you have no title ambitions. In fact you have no ambitions at all. Perhaps you can work on this? Maybe you can start with ambitions that extend beyond getting a draw in the Derby and you never know where you may end up.

Maybe Villa should demand £5 million and Liverpool offer £20 million instead. Now that would be a proper story.

Xabi Alonso played in the final of the Euro Championships and has a winners medal. He also has been in 2 CL Finals. If he's only worth the £14 million offered by Juve, maybe Aston Villa should consider why Gareth Barry is worth £18 million. Or maybe Rafa should go into press and berate Juventus for their insulting offer?
