It's Lampard or Gerrard 6:40pm on 13 Oct 2008 ive been saying it for years that gerrard and lampard CANNOT play together. the fact that everyone is STILL talking about it proves this FACT.

you MUST have a balance in the team where the best team is played NOT the best players. ie. two wingers playing on the wing (j.cole and walcott) and one dm and one am in the centre.

both players are attacking central midfield players. you cant play both for the love of god. i am getting sick and tired of repeating this and hearing so called experts like hansen and shearer talking a load of crap about how they are intelligent enough to play together.

the midfield at the moment should be

cole gerrard barry walcott

in the future i would play hargreaves instead of barry cos i dont rate barry at all.
Ramos facing Titanic struggle 2:30pm on 06 Oct 2008 i have no sympathy whatsoever for spurs current plight. you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realise that if you sell your top two strikers you MUST have replacements in mind.

it is just baffling to think they let berba go at the very last minute knowing full well that man utd are a team who 99% of the time get their man.

not only that but who in their right minds allows the purchase of darren bent for 16.5m? he had ONE good season at charlton which meant his value was no more than 10m at the most. consider also that spurs had defoe barba and keane in the squad, why not just buy and up and coming striker for a couple of million? (bent is also an idiot for joining. i mean did he actually think that he was going to push ahead of those three for a starting position? he should of joined west ham).

not to mention the fact that the director of football does NOT work in england. man utd and arsenal have been the most successful english clubs over the past decade and had no director of football. surely levy would have taken note of this fact.

jol should never have been sacked in the first place. ramos can't even speak the language properly and is a cup manager.

i think villa and man city (when they buy god knows who in january) will finish in 5th and 6th.

i mean gerrard is still getting played out of position and england cant even properly beat andorra, a team of part-timers.

andorra played in their half for the whole game. so what. couldn't capello put an extra foward up front by replacing a defender? it's not as if andorra would have hit them on the break and scored.

i can only see england managing a draw in croatia. even that is optimistic.

this whole england farce is unbearable and im not even english!

i dont agree with post 39 at all. yes ramos is a better coach but the ONLY reason spurs won the carling cup was due to the complete lack of tactical know-how by avram grant. jol would have won the cup if still in charge.

not to mention the fact that woodgates goal was pure luck.

other than that id say ramos won the cup for spurs.......
