Benitez faces biggest test 10:03am on 21 Oct 2009 Bad day and Bad start to the season.

I accept that both the league and champions league are lost to us.
That makes is a little easier to relax and watch the rest of the season by watching each game as it comes.

I share the sentiment with a lot of bloggers that the squad lacks depth in quality especially in the creative area. Lose Stevie G, Torres and Johnson and we suffer.

I do like Rafa but have to agree that in all the years he has been here I can only name a handful of players he has signed that are "real" world beaters.....

What is truly amazing is that a once tight defence is leaking goals and we are creating chances to score....A great team cannot just become rubbish overnight.

Loosing Alonso was really bad. I think we will miss him more than Man U will miss Ronaldo. Not because I'm saying that Alonso is a better player but Man U have strategically realligned themselves to play without him. We appear not to have done that.

Rafa is Tactically sound (not consistent enough though )but useless at signing players.
Owen worth Man Utd gamble 3:37pm on 03 Jul 2009 I'm a liverpool fan and am not bothered that he isn't on Rafa's wish list.

Owen is undisputably a clincal and devastating goal scorer when he is fit. He is a gamble and one that Man U can afford to have.

In the last 4 seasons his injury record is frightening and before that it wasn't that much better. I cannot see his injury record improving now. I think Man U will use him as a last 20-30 min Super Sub to come on to break teams down. I can see him playing well with Berba and Rooney but do not think he has the pace to lead a Man U (1st XI) line.
Liverpool facing test of strength 1:00pm on 24 Oct 2008 The title will not be decided at this game.

It will however have a huge impact psychologically on the winner.
For Chelsea to win, it will be a confirmation that Liverpool are not at their level.
For Liverpool to win, it will be a self belief that we can win the title, especially with Arsenal yet to travel to stamford bridge and Man U getting a draw.
