We can talk about missed puts and a short game not as superb as it normally is but is there anyone out there who doesn't think Tiger would have won this had he been in the other half of the draw? I'm not trying to make an excuse as he's benefitted from this before but I think any other explanation offered for why Tiger didn't win is ignoring the obvious.
Man Utd right to sell Ronaldo 12:53pm on 11 Jun 2009 Post #5. I absolutely agree, these clubs are just transcending the rules the rest operate within and its not good for the game. For a club the magnituse of Madrid to be so utterrly lacking in calss is appalling. Compare the situation to that at Barca; Valdes, Puyol, Pique (via Man. Utd), Busquests, Iniests, Xavi and Messi. All products of the Barc youth system so good that even Cesc Fabregas has been proven correct to have left so as to have a better cahnce of playing.

If we're going to start speculating as to how Man. Utd. will spend their bounty there's a name I would throw in. Utd. definitely lack an old fashioned playmaker in the middle of the park and I have a feeling that Arsenal being in no position to reject an offer of around £30 million and that Fabregas's thirst to win trophies make this a deal that could happen. If Ribery isn't plying his trade at Old trafford next season I'll be suprised.

Brewster pays price for poor run 5:38pm on 20 Jan 2009 Every time a manager is given the sack Chick wheels out the usual predictable tosh about not giving manager's time. He then uses the Aelx Smith sacking by Aberdeen as his prime piece of supporting evidence. I can honestly say in the the no. of years I have been forced to listen to his high-pitched nonsense he has never backed a club for sacking a manager. Anyone with a vague understanding of football has to be able to see that Brewster had to go. ICT may well still go down but it looked a certainty under Brewster. You only need to see the malcontent reported in today's papers to see the scale of the problems. Maybe if the likes of Chick bothered getting off their backsides and investigated things a bit further before blogging awaythey would be a bit more informed.

It's nice to see though I am not alone in thinking that Chick should be put out to pasture. Frankly he adds nothing of interest to Scottish football and hasn't done so for years and does so with embarassing pun-filled articles. The ode to Love St. was quite frankly cringe-enducing. If St. Mirren fans can get articles aimed at them then we should have a whole section on the main sports page aimed at ferret bashing.

Do us all a favour BBC and please, please get rid of him.
Brewster pays price for poor run 8:19pm on 19 Jan 2009 Gave up after a paragraph. Did he bring up Alex Smith again? He's like a broken record. I don't think Chic has ever come out and agreed with a sacking. Why is he getting paid for this drivel? He should be forced to read it back but I doubt he bothers.
Captaincy tops desert agenda 8:40pm on 09 Jan 2009 Sandy deserves his chance but as Kwini said, that's not how you decide this. I think that if he was being honest with himself, Monty would acknowledge that playing in this event is past him. He obviously fancies waiting until Gleneagles but that's a long way away and he risks having younger pups closer to the likely team passing him. The RC captain should still be a regular on the tour, I doubt Monty will be come 2014.

I think Monty is still deluded enough to think he can play not only in the next RC but the one after. In which case I would go for Paul McGinley over Bjorn. McGinley would be perfect for whipping up the crowd and seems the type of personality that would gel well with the players.
