Prime Minister's Questions: Schools 10:33pm on 25 Nov 2009 So David Cameron has had to apologise for not getting his facts right and attacking the government without any substance to his accusation.
I hope the PM treats himself to a dram tonight.
Copenhagen cometh and real politics faces its biggest issue since the credit crunch. Fortunately, Gordon Brown will represent us on this stage and not a PR guru.
I do think Nick Robinson probably enjoyed Cameron's mistake a tad too much on the 10 o' clock news tonight though! Mind you, the delightful swipe at the truly awful Michael Gove for losing the power of speech once he realised his boss had cocked up was worth the licence fee alone!
Reasons to be careful 00:19am on 24 Nov 2009 This is probably a rogue poll but isn't it great to see the froth from the lunatic fringes of the right on here. I am almost tempted to quote Michael Winner's insurance ad in order to preserve their collective good health.
The real debate has scarcely begun 8:49pm on 10 Nov 2009 The meanness of spirit shown on her by posters towards Brown reflects on them rather than our Prime Minister. At the end of all of this GB can stand tall knowing that his intentions were entirely honourable. Those who run the The Sun can hang their heads in shame.
Credit actually to Cameron and the rest of the Tory front bench for not getting involved in this.
When politics matters... 10:52pm on 09 Nov 2009 The attack in The Sun today was beneath contempt. Brown's intention here is the critical point. I wonder if the fact he subsequently rang Mrs Janes to apologise will merit the same level of coverage in The Sun or indeed on Sky News - which is fast becoming a puerile Uk version of Fox News.

It is expedient to back away from a referendum - nothing more and nothing less. The Tory troops know this will cause problems on the doorstep and I'll bet my last penny that UKIP are delighted.
Cameron the Heathite? 8:06pm on 22 Oct 2009 The answer to the question posed by Nick is "no chance". Cameron is a Thatcherite through and through. Ted Heath was bedevilled by personality flaws but was a deep thinking man with a real social conscience. He also had a real hinterland outside of politics. Cameron, on the other hand, is a snake oil salesman. Heath forged his beliefs through witnessing fascism in the 30's and the tragedies of the Second World War. Cameron's beliefs were forged through "japery" in the Bullingdon Club and being Norman Lamont's bag man during the ERM crisis. The contrast is stark and not particularly flattering.
Listen back to Jeanette Gilderdale's interview 8:43pm on 23 Sep 2009 Caught the tail end of this driving around on business today. I was so moved I had to listen to the whole interview via the web. Courage and heroism are not only found on the battlefields. I can't help but think that Rachael was truly blessed to have such a loving mother.
Pressure on as top stars feel the cut 1:01pm on 09 Sep 2009 Stricker is grounded because he knows the anguish of going to Tour School. Harrington is a grinder. The guy is a trained accountant - not an ounce of "flash" in him. The man simply lets his golf do the talking for him.
As for "next week" Luke Donald currently stands at 34 in the points rankings. Would like to Luke step up and get into the top 30. Again another solid player but it must be time for him to start winning more regularly.
Relevant letters to be released 11:43pm on 01 Sep 2009 The lack of maturity on this issue from the usual suspects and their hero David Cameron is par for the course. People must grow up. In the world of International Politics is there value in trading the last few months of a (probably innocent) terminally ill man for the neutering of Libya's terrorist tendencies and frankly access to oil? The answer is obvious.
Osborne sets out Tory agenda 10:13pm on 11 Aug 2009 Superbly written blog at #43. Only in some form of parallel universe are the Tories the progressive party of British politics. Osborne is a fool.
