Could we save billions by legalising drugs? 3:33pm on 07 Apr 2009 Possession of these drugs should be quite legal - though of-course not encouraged. Drug users need to be educated and helped, not put in prison. For peddlers though it is quite a different story. Lock them up and throw away the key.

Poor subsidising the rich in private pensions 4:18pm on 24 Sep 2008 What next? NI payments aren't higher if you live an area with chronic health problems. Likewise, the state pension isn't higher in such places either. The same social principles should apply to private pensions and greedy insurance companies made to toe the line - or go and sell in America instead.
Save our Strasbourg 12:09pm on 23 Sep 2008 The ordinary person does not care a stuff about the sentiments of pro-Strasbourg MEPs, history or indeed the city's population. The winning point for most people is that ending this silly merry-go-round would save billions in the long run.
