If that doesn't stir up the scousers then nothing will. Except maybe Gary Neville for England

Bearing in mind that thsi sis teh 3rd time Grant has been brought into a club and undermined (simply by being appointed)then replaced the manager I'm not really that sympathetic.

Chris Charles likened him to Baron Greenback and I would have to agree although I still think Richard III is a more apt analogy

No he did a very good job and if it were not for John Terry's slip and Anelka not being ready as he was brought on too late he may have actually won the CL - however the Anelka thing potentially is what ultimately cost him as while Anelka complained that he hadn't been on the pitch long enough to be ready to take one it wouldn't have gone unnoticed that Anderson was brought on with 30 seconds to go specifically to take a penalty and converted his. Maybe they thought he couldn't man-manage in highly pressurised games and they felt that Big Phil could transfer his World Cup winning success to the club stage.

But eventually it was Schtopp this football club is not ready..why aren't you winning games - in steps Hiddink and a trophy is then delivered that season. Abramovic is impatient and Grant new that before he usurped Mourinho in his Richard III like manner

Otherwise we may have to vote for Mike Ashley who has done to Newcastle what every resident of Sunderland has dreamed of for years - relegate Newcastle with Shearer in charge
