What's wrong with football? Blame women! 10:38am on 26 Nov 2009 A poll of 4,000 is by no means small compared to opinion polls carried out today. It does sound a bit 'Enid Blyton' though.
Scotland must eat, sleep and drink football 12:38pm on 23 Nov 2009 International football is a vicious cycle. Poor results mean you fall down the rankings making qualifying for tournaments so much harder because of the seeding. Smith in that sense *was* a success, Scotland were in fact the second seed in our WC group though we still managed to finish third.
We will not be so fortunate next time...the wilderness years,I fear will continue.
Review of the week 9:09pm on 20 Nov 2009 A few bloggers seem a bit lost without the Premier league to comment on so I suspect Henry did you all a favour in an odd kind of a way. England played (albeit in a friendly), oddly quiet about that one...Wales played too although Scotland chose the 'outplayed' option. Anyway, despite your apparent aversion to the Overlords of Prog, I rather missed the music references. Good blog though.
Shaun of the Dread 2:44pm on 16 Nov 2009 I'll have you know Scotland are easily the 4th best team in the UK (if you accept the Isle of Man is not a part of the UK) and Burley has a proven track record of losing. The good news is that England can look forward to another quarter final exit. Bosnia have more technical ability, never mind Brazil. I suspect Robbo, McNulty et al are just waiting for the return of Premier League footie.
