Schumacher return looking increasingly likely 5:40pm on 13 Dec 2009 From a comical point of view, some of you may or not agree with me, but I think the reason he's trying to make a come back is because of the new points scoring system (hear me out!)

Mr. Schumacher, as modest as he claims to be, loves holding several records. One of these records include holding the most points in a single F1 system. Now, seeing as a race victory now constitues 2.5x the amount when he was racing, I think he wants to either increase this record or dent the hopes of those looking to beat it.

I thought it was rather convenient, and was quite amused.

I would like to see him return to the fold, but I doubt the Merc would be as competitive as the season just gone. All of the big players (McLaren, Ferrari) won't make the same mistakes for the 2nd year running.

I reckon it'll be typical battle ahead - Hamilton vs Massa/Alonso. I don't think Button will do all that well in 2010 to be honest.
The problem with winner takes all 1:18pm on 18 Mar 2009 Once again the FIA and Ecclestone have proved that they do not give a damn about the fans and what they want. F1 is going to be extremely boring yet again.

In all fairness I was really looking forward to this new season with the technical overhaul but once again Mosley and Ecclestone have managed to ruin it yet again.

I shall be watching MotoGP this year I think.

I couldn't agree more. I couldn't stand James Allen - terrible commentator.

I really can not wait for this season to begin. Whilst I appreciate not having commercial ads spoiling the action (2005 San Marino GP anyone?), the extra interactive material that the BBC is bringing to us makes me wonder why those guys at ITV didn't accommodate the sport better.

I mean F1.tv on Sky tried to do that, and I subscribed to it and it was fantastic. Shame that not enough people subscribed for Sky to keep it on, but now that the Beeb are doing a similar thing for a fixed contract is fantastic and for this reason, along with the new exciting rule changes, I can not wait.

I totally agree that now we'll find out how good of a drive Lewis Hamilton is. We saw how good of a driver Alonso was in a pig of Renault, for which I now respect him for, and now it's Lewis' turn.

I hope that the BrawnGP car is as quick in a race as it is in testing - I would love nothing more than our next champion to be Jenson Button or Rubens Barrichello. Both deserve the title and hope that they win it!

I have to say the 2002 race was fantastic and am so bemused as to why 2007 got a mention? I don't mean to be funny or picky but Lewis Hamilton isn't good enough to get on a "Best Oz GP of all time list" - it was the most boring race of the year, probably, maybe ........ that season was dull ................ except for Brazil.....

Just one comment, like the guy commenting on standing outside the garages, please do not be biased towards Lewis Hamilton. As much as I like the fact a British person is winning, being biased is irritating. Also, please do not do what most media frontmen and journalists do and refer to Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button as an Englishman. I am fed up as a Welshman to have our sports people referred to as "Brits" and the English as "English". The FIA lists show them as British. Let's keep it that way.

The site is the same as it was but with a black background.

Disappointing effort BBC. ITV's was so much better.
Review of the week 3:55pm on 07 Jan 2009 I take it that "Shoots" is a chav? Even my 73 year old father would be too ashamed to wear that rubbish......

.... good blog. Enjoyed reading it.... when I should be working .... and I thought Jeff Stelling was quite funny and it's good to see TV presenters show such emotion. I don't mind it if he's biased towards his own side. We all are and it makes for some good banter amongst the panel.

You Are The Ref #1 09:18am on 04 Jun 2008 Referee should have stopped play. If it's a red-card offense then the team they play for has an advantage with him staying on the field, regardless of what happened after the incident.

I think the ref should award a free kick and give the red card. If a player gets sent off it is very rare that the opposing side complains that their advantage was taken away. If it was a yellow card offense then fair enough.
