An orphan chokes back sobs 2:26pm on 21 May 2008 I saw this report last night on BBC news. I felt so sorry for the little boy and other victims of the earthquake.

Would BBC be doing a special program on this later on, I am sure there are many footages and touching stories that weren't shown yet.

Tell us what we can do to help the Chinese people who are affected.

And lets not forget the Burmese people too.

That man should not have tried to stop you filming, but I can understand why he did so. I guess some Chinese are still paranoid and skeptical of being filmed. Don't think that act was ordered by the authority but rather a natural response from that particular person.

From this tragedy, we saw the leader of China handling the rescue operation very swiftly and openly. He has shown great leadership and also set a good example to the Chinese people. I understand more so than ever why so many Chinese people defended their country after the torch relay incidents.

Remember China is still finding and learning its way, they used to be such a closed nation. I think after this as well as the recent Tibet riots, they will learn that press censorship is actually doing more harm than good.

Hopefully China will soon stop press censorship altogether and then you may find one day that no one even take notice of you and your camera men in China.

I didn't get the impression that Hong Kong people were pro-China, things must have changed. Perhaps it was the recent protests elsewhere and some biased reporting against China that ignite their patriotism.

I think it is fair to say that this is your own assumption and interpretation and not from the mouth of the Chinese government.

Journalists should be very careful how they word their stories. Biased reporting just feeds prejudice into the 'Little Britain' that we live in.
China is changing 10:45pm on 30 Apr 2008 James, please be fair and objective in your reporting. The world is already full of prejudice and hatred. Please don't do what other media do: i.e stirring.
