Labour's long night of painful firsts 03:48am on 08 Jun 2009 Ummm technically the votes arent all in yet so you cant say whether or not UKIP are second and Labour third. At least you did meantion the SNP who appear to have a good result but we shall see tomorrow when the final results are out.
Social democrat failure 03:39am on 08 Jun 2009 I think the BBC has forgotten about Scotland and N Ireland as their votes will actually show some conservative losses if only a seat and will probably see good results for the SNP. I think in the end Labour will be second as UKIP is very small in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
My Turkish Grand Prix predictions 01:18am on 06 Jun 2009 I think the reason JL has kept the hamilton out of the top 8 this time is because of tyres. Remember he is very hard on tyres on this track usually and the aero package on his car imo will mean the problem is worse. Im going for Massa as he is fantastic at this track. So:

Goal reached over political football 8:21pm on 29 May 2009 There is a european championship on that year and I would rather be concentrating on Scotland getting to that than "Team GB" football. The players who can play in it must be all under 20 just now people should ask them what would you prefer euros or team Gb and all of them would want to be in the euros. Team GB is a farce and this issue is just an excuse for england to submit a team to try and win what is a u23 competition
Bitter recriminations at the Bridge 09:08am on 07 May 2009 I commented on a recent SPL game that I had seen the worst refereeing performance i had seen well I will be honest and say that its been bested. The ref must have had get everything wrong glasses wrong, im not a Chelsea fan but I think a lot of folk are commenting on the players professionalism and I agree it was poor but what about the ref he lacked any professionalism at all and his linesmen were no better. Looking at the calls:

1. First penalty = 50-50 till the edge of the box and then what looks like a foul on the chelsea player inside the box but went over a bit too dramatically imo but if the fouls given as it was its a pen not a freeckick.
2. Second penalty = Drogba has his shirt clearly tugged and his leg taken by abidal, its a blantent foul and a definate pen and red card for abidal
3. Third penalty = Handball, red card for delibrately handling in the box and preventing a clear goalscoring oppertunity and a penalty. Linesmen should have seen it if not the ref ridiculous it wasnt given
4.Fourth penalty = Handball and penalty, raises his hands and the ball hits the arm at elbow. I saw the exact same given in Man City vs Hamburg so imo defo a pen no doubts about it and the ref was in a prime position.
5. Red card = Never in a million years no contact, Anelka trips on his own feet and the linesmen should help the ref to get the call right, no freeckick no red card, shocking again

5 big calls all wrong imo. Im horrified if the guy is allowed to ref such a big game in the future after this shocking performance. If u make one mistake fine, or two or small ones but such big calls in a big game is awful.
Time for footballers to reveal their whereabouts 02:31am on 12 Nov 2008 Clearly this will become an issue in the event of a family emergancy or a late call. Clearly they have to plan ahead a certain time in advance and surely this means that other things can happen on the day the tester come so the player isnt at the right place. For example imagine if they are stuck because of an accident, they are in the wrong place: 1 tick and probably press leaks about missing drugs tests. Also in the blog mentioning about the "Elite players":

"A pool based on the national team would seem to be the most sensible way forward and is certainly what cricket and rugby union have in mind."

Apparently UK Sport are getting this in for all the home nations footballing associations. How will this work if the player on the FA elite list is in another country will the tester have to be flown out around the world to find them?

In my opinion this seems to be overkill yes get more testing done but to be so strict and complicated is daft.

Its funny no-one ever mentions the other home nations, it would be more enjoyable if they had all qualified so everyone could get behind their conutry. Howevhe fact is with no England ter the focus has been on the other teams rather than the papers showing shot by shot action of a training session or a interview with the coach driver.
You Are The Ref special 1:47pm on 10 Jun 2008 I think an interesting point has been made in regards to strikers from the offside rule if an attacker goes out of play accident and raises his arms he is inactive and therefore not offside. This means that if the goalie controls it in the box the striker can run up from behind and score as seen in many football funniest clips which seems to lack common sense.
