What's On BBC Red Button (9-27 March)

Every fortnight we have an internal newsletter which highlights the content coming up on BBC Red Button. And as one of the comments we hear regularly is that many people don't know about some of the content we have on the red button.

As a trial we decided to publish the edition for 9 - 27 March. Let us know what you think using the comments box below.

Red Nose Day '09

Once again Sky viewers will be able to use their remote controls to make a donation to Comic Relief. Since 2001, BBC audiences have used the Red Button to raise £8.5m for charitable causes.

BBC Sport Multiscreen

Catch up on all the latest Sport via the BBC Sport multiscreen. Sporting headlines are available around the clock with up to five additional streams available to cover the best that BBC Sport has to offer.

Coming up:

Rugby: Six Nations

Live coverage of the whole tournament with alternative commentary. Post-match join the debate with Six Nations Forum and catch up with edited match highlights. The Sport Multiscreen will also be taking a stroll down memory lane looking at previous tournaments in Ruck 'n' Roll Years.

F1 Preview

Formula One returns to the BBC later this month with coverage which promises to be the most comprehensive in the history of the sport.

In advance of the main event BBC Red Button looks ahead to the season. While proceedings start in earnest with the first practice sessions live from Melbourne.

Digital viewers can follow every twist and turn of the on-track action including Friday and Saturday practice and qualifying sessions.

Cricket: West Indies v England (BBC Radio 5 Live commentary)

As England's roller-coaster tour of The Caribbean continues join BBC Red Button for live Test Match Special commentary and post-match interviews from the decisive final test and the start of the One Day series.

BBC Comedy Extra

comedyextra.jpg With a raft of exciting new comedy airing on BBC Two in 2009, digital viewers willing to tickle the red buttons on their remotes can keep the laughter going after the show has finished.

Following Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle and Dave Gorman's Genius look out for additional content, exclusive sketches not included in the TV series as well as talent associated with the shows doing their own thing for the first time.

School Report

BBC News' School Report gives 11-14 year-old students in the UK the chance to make their own news and present it to a very real audience: online, on television and radio and on BBC Red Button which will be showcasing the audio and video of 500 schools across the country.

Timewatch: Aces Falling

Timewatch tells the tale of two unlikely working class heroes who became Britain's greatest First World War Aces - and a mystery surrounding the whereabouts of the grave of one of them. We have all heard of the Red Baron - but who can name the British equivalent?

Following the BBC Two show, David Rowland will be inviting digital viewers to take a tour of the First World War fighter plane the SE5A, most commonly known as 'The Mount of the Aces'.
