What is it? A simple chat about the basics of pods, blogs and vlogs.

Going back to our roots, the podcast this week asks the basic questions, what exactly are podcasts, blogs and vlogs? We talk about them every week on the show, but since we started, some of the rules changed, some of the technology grew and frankly everyone became so creative and entertaining that we thought it was high time to reassess the basics.
If we mentioned a place that you would like to visit online, then you can find all the links right here:

VerdiFirst up we talk to prolific video blogger Michael Verdi who tells us about adding video to blogs and the popularity of online video.

Podcast BunkerOn our home turf, talking about podcasting from the safety of The Podcast Bunker, Bruce Chandley explains the ABCs of podcasting with some handy hints for those who would like to try for themselves.

Common Craft Last but never least online, what exactly is a Blog these days anyway? Lee LeFever of Common Craft has been making explainers on the web for years. Who better to ask for the simple low-down?

By the way - Chris Vallance, formerly of this parish and welcome visitor has been hanging out with pop stars and web stars lately. Listen to him at the Modern Liberty Gathering - at about 2.22 on the time line. Fancy pants!

If you have seen a blog or heard a podcast that you think we should know about, drop me a line at podsandblogs -at- bbc.co.uk I'd love to hear from you.

I object very strongly to sympathic tone in the great amount of news time devoted to Binyam Mohamed the released suspect terrorist , after all he isn't even a British citizen

What I want from the BeeB is some balance to this story

What was he doing in Pakistan that brought himto the attention of the authorities?

This is something that the journalists could
investigate & publish to alleviate my apprehensions about allowing him to stay here
