This week the podcast is all about reading online. Freebooks, Ebooks, podcasts and tweets.

Rhod and Jamillah talk about reading and writing on screens and in this bumper issue we have a cast of great names who explain how the internet is shaping publishing.

Here's a cast-list of experts on the podcast, just in case you want to visit them yourself:

  • George Walkley of Little Brown talks about big publishing houses addressing new issues online.

  • James Bridle of Bookkake prints adult books on demand and discusses the future in this medium.

  • Joshua Rothass of 140Story makes things that are small and beautiful.

  • Alex Millway is the Mouse Hunter.

  • Stephen Ely, editor of The Escape Pod tells us about making great stories into a great podcast.

  • Award winning author and podcaster JC Hutchins talks about spinning grippng yarns on the web.
  • Plenty there for relaxing with a great story or fiction podcast, though don't forget to come back to us next week for more news!

If you have seen a blog or heard a podcast that you think we should know about, drop me a line at podsandblog -at- bbc.co.uk I'd love to hear from you.

Just listened to the newest edition, on story publishing. It's a well done explication of the convergence of media. Soon we will have a book reader as light as paper, softly backlighted for nightime reading, with an accompanying sound file so we can as our eyes tire, at any page, listen, for example, to William Hurt reading us Stephen King's Hearts in Atlantis. Very nice indeed. Thanks!
