Podcast Notes: EU, file sharing and The Mickey Mouse Club
This week we began with a rather complicated story about legal changes to a group of European directives, which some argue, could pave the way for tough measures against file-sharers. For futher reading, there's background to that debate here.
The programme featured:
- Lilian Edwards and Malcolm Harbour MEP discuss whether amendments to the Telecoms Packet could be used to crack down on file-sharers
- We heard from Kurt Opshal of the EFF about the decision in the Google/Viacom court case which could mean YouTube has to hand over user data to Viacom.
- Eamonn Carey is working on a Facebook documentary- "Poked" - he told us how it is progressing
- Tim Coyne of the Hollywood Podcast kindly shared part of his interview with Mickey Mouse Club graduate Lindsey Alley (Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears etc were also perfomers on the Disney Kids show)

Yet again, we have comments from lay people who have absolutely no knowledge of ADHD. Please take the time to learn about the subject instead of judging those who are unfortunate enough to suffer (and believe me, they suffer terribly) from this nightmare problem. The consequences for adults who go undiagnosed into adulthood are catastrophic. We are a middle class family and it is unfair to cast any socio economic group in a bad light, just because they have ADHD in the family. The comments made by some of your listeners show pure ignorance of the subject. Speak to expert consultants who have spent thirty or so years studying the subject. It is cruel to suggest that because a person's brain is not wired up correctly, that they are somehow monsters.
