On Tuesday we'll be speaking with Kevin Marks of the Open Rights Group advisory panel to talk about proposals being considered for the regulation of video on the net: a Lords Committee has been looking at plans to update the TV Without Frontiers EU directive. It currently covers traditional television, but there are proposals from the EU Commission to extend this to the net:

The changes to TVWF are intended to offer the same protection to people visiting online video sites as those who watch regular TV but many vloggers and other online video people worry that it could stifle the new medium if it is subject to the same regulation as television broadcasts. Kevin discusses this issue in this video blog from Technorati - Incidentally this vlog is a great way to keep across what's getting the buzz on the blogosphere.
