Merry Christmas to you all, and hope you are enjoying a well-earned break. Though it looks like you started with a very late night, Eddie, judging by the posting time of this thread! Or were you awake so early to see what Santa had brought?

If I mentioned this elsewhere, forget it. At last, somebody sang O Holy Night in a serious setting, Kings Cambridge. I can't get it sung here.

I heard that too, Lady Sue. Wasn't it nice? If that doesn't get them Sony Gold for Interactivity next year, I don't know what will. Been listening to the radio a bit today - first Christmas without tv, & can't talk because I lost my voice. Sure cuts out the social side of things! (The rest of the family are loving it though...)
SO bought me a new phone for Xmas - only because I got the last one soaked in a rainstorm so it won't switch off. He's just put our Upshares version on as the ring tone. Do you think if it rings in public it might "out" a few closet PM fans who recognise the tune? When that web page finally goes live, if all PM listeners changed their ringtone to an Upshares version, it could be like the modern version of a Masonic handshake!

Sales? Shopping? Eeeeuch. No thanks. It'll be even madder than the pre-Christmas frenzy, I expect. I'm working. That keeps me out of harm's way. Hope you all have a good day.

Thank you. Merry Christmas to everyone at the BBC broadcast centre.
Christmas is more on an emotional level with memories from our childhood and it is about the birth of a child over two thousands years ago. A time for friendship, family and enjoying yourselves.

Hunting? Front of my Internet edition of my newspaper today. I will not mention the other reasons it chimes but my wife and I on our Boxing Day walk apart from looking out for ice patches also looked out for stuff to comment on. From the over excited dogs out for walkies and mostly shy cats - I counted three horse and a Thelwell like pony - several squirrels - hunting for nuts and one fox. Oddly the latter in the same field with the three horses. None of them Kauto Star. All four in said field were minding their own businesses. Not a huntsman or woman in sight. A jogger and us two.
I am still not sure what I think of hunting. I like foxes mind. But it - hunting of same - keeps coming back to my attention and I sigh. Far more important things to fixate on. For next years General Election I mean. And what is wrong with just going for a bracing horse ride and then taking the several dozen dogs out for individual walkies? Tally ho!

Gill 26, You shouldn't drink from a glass with a chink in it.

"Wassail, wassail, all over the town,
Our toast it is white, our ale it is brown..."

Personally, I prefer my toast to be a bit better cooked.
