AM Glass Box
You may have read your morning paper and listened to the radio, and have some ideas you want to hear on PM tonight.
Perhaps a question about something in the news you would like answered - or better still, direct experience of something topical. Or maybe there's an aspect to a big story you haven't heard explored that you would like to hear.
The PM team will meet in a real glass box at 11am. Why not be part of the meeting by sharing your thoughts in this virtual glass box?

So Guest Editors. Listening to Today and they have a week of Guest Editors. All well known of course. Celebrities in their own dining rooms at least. No Offence - I think I have heard of most of them but I listen to other Media outlets.
What is PM's take on a week of Guest Editors on this day I am sending a sad thought towards all the bad stuff in the world? Not just China. I am not angling to be a Guest editor but I find it is another way of getting your own likes on Radio. Ms Quinn said sorry to all those who hadn't been mentioned in her Review of the Year in radio (The Westminster Hour slot) - sorry Carolyn - I drifted off twice during it - so I am sure you mentioned my contributions to improving clarity in Blog postings. Or at least the championing of the anagram. I was ahead of the curve too on poetry. The Kalevala was on Radio Four yesterday. Thanks for that at least BH.
Subject: Unless that is really what you want – cutting expenses – time is running out – time is running out – time is running out
Anagram: (Noisy) USA Law waste - try lethal hunt – Sun Ex – Pi get scent – Union is muttering – I noun – term suiting – Union - us remitting
I now think I am against hunting of Foxes. A hunting I will NOT go. lol

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, Mohammad Sidique Khan and Ian Huntley?
The warnings were there in the data on them. It wasn't used.
Will the state storing more data, or more people that aren't threats mean that the authorities will be more able to identify and deal with threats?
When we can't effectively use data on people that represent a threat why have even more data on more that aren't?
What's the value of data if you don't use it?

What are the chances that the device used by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was in one of the thousands of manuals that Houria Chahed Chentouf had on her USB stick?
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/crime/article6899548.ece
It's easier to keep tabs on her, and her family and any others she knows that have an unhealthy interest in Jihad if she's in this country?
How much is monitoring her costing us? If that surveillance flags up any reasons for concern will we be able to action it?

Akmal Shaikh, Houria Chahed Chentouf, Mohamed Abdulaziz Rashid Saeed-Alim and Gary McKinnon.
They all have mental issues and all are getting very different treatment.
Brown is to appeal to the Chinese over Akmal Shaikh, but he won't tell the Americans that we're not going to extradite Gary McKinnon even though US drones over Iraq have been transmitting unencrypted live video streams to all and sundry including Iraqi 'insurgents' on the ground?
Who's on the Today programme at 8.25AM?
Paul Davis? Some chap on how to communicate to aliens?

'If you're on our watch list you don't come into this country'?
So Houria Chahed Chentouf isn't on the watch list then?
Ah well, perhaps she's on another list?

#1 Steelpulse,
The Guest Editor thing didn't do it for me. It reminded me of some of those respondents that block the aisles in Any Answers.

I just read that article about Houria Chahed Chentouf. Of course she wasn't on the watch list, her proclivities were only discovered when she dropped the USB stick in front of customs officers.

LM, ld, I've been wondering if airport security would want to check the liquid content of the urine bag strapped to my leg if I decided to fly to the US.

dav(9) As long as it's only 100ml, in a resealable plastic bag, you'd be okay.
Once you're through security, larger amounts are permitted, and even encouraged!

In fact it could be quite a handy accessory during that last hour of flight.

Apartheid Airlines? Muslims and people with Arabic names on completely separate airlines?
It's like the bombings in London? I'm still making some protest about 'my brothers' even if it kills other Muslims?
We should be far more tolerant of lost souls that get caught abroad smuggling drugs than those that get Jihad?

Boris Johnson is pushing for the 2012 Olympic fleet of BMWs to be electric.
Shouldn't he be pushing for all 4,000 of them to be bullet proof? An electric car car weighed down by a ton of bomb proofing? I wonder how quickly they'd move?
The attraction of Jihad must be great if you're a nobody that can't even get onto one of the premium phone rate scan TV Freak shows?

Boris Johnson should be pushing the 2012 Olympic fleet of BMWs - good for the planet and healthy for Boris.

Youth Clubs. Mentioned on BH over the weekend. A possible increase in them in Great Britain was it? Good thing. I belonged to one 45 years ago. I thought of them - Youth Clubs just now as I passed a group of younger than me waiting for a bus. They were waiting - I was walking in my snow goggles - lol - which I find always merit ribald comments from my friends. But the younger than me group became a bit more than gushing in praise and unpleasant in tone. About 6 all told but I bite and stopped and remove gig lamps for a look see. Yes they could definitely benefit from that old Youth Club concept I thought and then I thought how old I was and carried on - bidding them a friendly - er - wave as jeers followed my progress.
Youth Clubs. Age marches pass - slowly and with all the pride it can muster. lol

The thought from the shower......
The sentences for that simpleton Jihadist in the cafe in Exeter and the woman with the USB stick full of bomb making manuals? The sentences are well out of kilter.
If you're white and born here you're not a trendy cause are you? Unless you're inept banker, or an expenses fiddling MP?
The woman with the USB stick of bomb making manuals? How does she fit with Brown's Britishness values roadshow?

Gill 19, See this, unless prudes delete it. It holds half a litre and is approx 13x24cm. Unlile the one in the drawing, it is drained by a tap at the bottom. It can be used for 5-7 days.

Complain about this comment
Gill 19, I hope you looked quickly at my 33 before some prude decided to refer it, It was a medical drawing of a catheter and urine bag attached to a MAN!. Google image catheter and see the illustration of Foley catheter placement (the fourth on my page). Mine is similar, holds half a liter, is approx 13x24cm and can be drained through a tap at the bottom. It can be used for 5-7 days. If a mod finds this info to be to explicit, I suggest that they search for another job.

So that's why you were referred.
Googled the item and found it informative. The BBC remit is supposed to be informative and entertaining.
So the PM blogs should be the same.

Ln 36, I can't see any other reason. For something more explicit, Google catheters and watch the nurse/doctor insert one in a life size male model. It is number 4 on my list and is a video of male catheter insertion. I watched it and said, "Ouch!" Brought back memories. If I was that model, I'd worry more about my knees.

Should I ever be alone and intimate with another ever again I shall endeavour to try smug druggling.
These people wanting to blow themselves up on airliners really are intolerant and violent and hateful. Are they the ultimate racists?
Are we going to have to be civil to Jidadists in Afghanistan before we'll be able to bring our military back?

If a person that was having a Manic Episode tried to board a plane there probably would have been a few signs. Otherwise, being Bipolar does not mean people are stupid or unintelligent or not capable of planning bad things or good things.
