Autumn is here.

autumn12.jpg

This snap was taken yesterday at Westonbirt. The Telegraph has some nice photos from readers today, and there's a lovely shot in today's Independent which I can't find online (my fault I'm sure, not theirs) but a search of their site for the Japanese maple finds this.

Do you have any new autumn photos? Feel free to send them to pm@bbc.co.uk.

If nothing else - this thread made me go look at the pictures on my PC and I am amazed - none particularly recent but well over 4000 - mostly Windows images etc (other computer systems are available) but hundreds of mine dating back years and years.
Time passing and cheering on Jensen Button yesterday - my joy was tempered with the thought - that means next week at the latest - a book - allegedly - how I won the World Championship perhaps.
Don't books come out fast? And like autumn leaves fall into the remainder bins of book shops - allegedly. I was surfing and came across a former police chief's one yesterday. I passed quickly by and sighed all the while. No offence to anyone - just time passing again.
And later saw that old Bond film, Live and Let Die - where a Sheriff Pepper "commandeered" two colleaugues police vehicle after his own received a speed boat as a passenger. Sheriff Pepper (Clifton James) managed to total new vehicle too. Speed boats falling out of the sky - yes - like autumn leaves. lol
